  • 1:44 wow

  • @nikzilla touchdown raiz

  • what shoes are he using?

  • philly d???? phillip defranco???

  • @erab1996 Phil doyle

  • sick

  • amazing

  • @JacktheDaniels well, parkour IS infact an art =) you don´t need flips and other acrobatik for expressing yourself xD but for me parkour and free running is the same thing =) the filosofi of compining free running and parkour is just the most awsome thing mankind will ever do xD

  • Willy where is your HAIR MEEEN ??? :D :D

  • Thumbs up if you live in south floridan and are a tracuer

  • @TimmyTheTurtle1000 i am a traceur but i don't live in south florida

  • @TimmyTheTurtle1000 Well, I live in upper Florida, but I can't Free-run since my dis-ability of thinking of my possible doom in high heights =l

  • @WarmanxXXx YOu dont have be at high heights to free run, i live n an are of nevada where there is nothing high

  • Very good edit and idea/

  • Looked like a lot of fun ;p

  • loved it =D = )

  • Skating is a sport....parkour is an art...there is no comparison...both are rlly great in their own places...i dnt knw y do some retards compare Skaters and Traceurs???

  • @Zeeshan060390

Define art, and define sport, then answer this question:

How is PK any more an art than skating?

  • @JacktheDaniels It just depends on your prefrence but to tell you the truth people who free run end up a lot stronger and also more capable because there is more you can do with parkour/freerunning

  • @MIKENIKEDOG

I respect your opinion, however it wasn't really relevant to my question.

My question suggested no qualitative comparison between the activities, but rather a conceptual one, i.e. what is a sport, what is an art, and when are people calling an art something that is by definition a sport mostly because they want to set themselves apart and establish some sort of identity for themselves and their group.

    ^Run-on sentence and a half, but w/e.

  • @JacktheDaniels

I can see what your saying but if you don't understand why Parkour/free running is called art then I think you just missing out. I do it and think it's beautiful, it's art made with your body, in the moment. Either you appreciate the art or you don't but it's still art.

  • @FalseFace13

People call soccer an art. People call cooking an art. People call writing mathematical proofs an art. If we take the state of being an art to be a subjective assessment, then one could pretty much call anything an art. That's great.

But can you make a quantitative comparison between two such things? No, since they're subjective. Re: parkour is more of an art than skateboarding (the original comment I was replying to).

By the above reasoning, I'm calling that a nonsense statement.

  • @FalseFace13

Just to clarify, I never said that pk isn't an art, I merely posited that it's not fair to say that it's "more" of an art than something like skateboarding.

If the latest edition of the Oxford dictionary said that all sports are art, would some traceurs get upset?

  • @JacktheDaniels parkour is not an art, freerunning is;)

  • @JacktheDaniels Zeeshan said there is no comparison between the two, what you on about?

  • 2:36 that guys probley like wtf danny!

  • What's the music? It's great.

  • nice^^

    whats song ?

  • @LPLeParkourLP Squaremeter - Khalast

  • Wow! soo good, would love for you too see some of my videos

  • no effence to any s8's but I think parkour is wayyyyy better

  • @cmoun5 There is no better. If people prefer to skate instead of doing parkour, than it's great if they do! The only important thing is to live your passion.

  • @atb1248 Yea man, But I'm just saying in my own opinion that parkour is better but thats cool if people also like skateboarding or whatever, because skaters can say the same thing about free runners or traceurs

  • @atb1248 Totally agree. I wasn't into anything really other than my art but it eventually didn't give me what Parkour has in the past months. It's my addiction, to the point that I'll train injured but carefully so. I eat, drink and dream Parkour. Skaters, I give them their props as well as Free runners.

  • @atb1248 Every one has there oppinions- some people think skatings better some people think parkour/freerunning is better there shouldent be this whole discussion aboput what is better bcus every1 has there own oppinions.

  • great stuff man

    peace

  • OMFG 2:40!

  • I miss the old time who was philly not a massive freerunner like now :(

  • sick shit ilabaca is a gun!

  • Why do people with a gymnastics background do runups with their arms straight?

  • think its something to do with how they swing there arms up straight, in the funny hop thing in the set up for doing a roundoff.

by keeping arms straight the whole time, gives them one less thing to think about perhaps?

or maybe, because it looks tidier, as in comps everything has to be executed cleanly.

    p.s. immense name hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • for the exact reason you just said. :) since their background is gymnastics. cuz gymnastics is all about perfection and good form. straight arms is good form. and since that's the way they learned to do it, thats the way they continue to do it.

  • So I guess in gymnastics running with straight arms is considered good form... I don`t see how it could give any kind of biomechanical advantage though... I mean, you don't see Usain Bolt running with straight arms...

  • parkour or freerunning is not about perfect form or competition though. i find that straight arms helps gain momentum fast in short runnups..

  • it helps to gather momentum. when the arms are outstretched, more mass is away from the fulcrum. the further a point is from the fulcrum, the greater momentum it has relative to points that are closer to the fulcrum. greater momentum (though it requires more strength to obtain) means more power and efficiency in gymnastics moves.

  • That makes sense man, good point.

But even so, why don't long jumpers do it?

(I don't want to imply that any way is better than another, I just want to find out the differences).

  • its not because of a gymnastics background, its just for flow, style, playing around, technique... i actually think its better in some cases because you dont get messed up with your arms moving all around and you can keek a good balance in an easier way... but it is absolutley personal. Everyone has their ways of doing things

  • it was just a guess, though i dont think people actually modify how they run due to style....o dont think people care about how they run lol.

i didnt say it was bad, infact if anything i noted it as a good thing.

sure thing, everyone has there own lil ways and perks. though i do know that the reason i gave was correct for a gymnast.

    peace.

  • Did you edit this clip? what program did you use?

  • i'm never see in my life bad video fro daniel ilabaca all is graet keep it up man i'love you

  • always awesome, but I'm with Chimpy.... What's the song?

  • nice vid

  • Nice! like it

  • What song is this ?

  • will spencer is so raw & naturally talented is disgusting!!!

He has this natural ability where his mind whats to do something & his body just executes it without a single bit of hesitation. Ive seen him try difficult, advanced moves before that he has never done before & land it after the 4th try & everyone else who has had gymnastic/freerunning training for years was still struggling.
