It is nothing like the Millenium Bug theory, this was just a belief that all computer systems were going to crash at the turn of the Millenium. Obviously Microsoft, big corporations etc would have researched and prevented this way ahead of time. The thing you fail to understand is that in cases where someone is making an assertion the burden of proof falls on those who make a claim. I have always found it interesting that any documentary on subjects that are deemed conspiracy theory receive a low amount of hits/watches when it should be seen as a possible truth and calculated as such. I would have to argue that we are not winning this battle and those of us who do resist in the end will not be here for long, though I strive for the opposite. Jesus was not mentioned in any of his works until Antiquities which was written in 94 C.E. By that point the Gospels were written and his work is not capable of being first hand account but as hearsay. He was not a contemporary, he was a generation after. Pliny The Elder, Seneca, Philo Judaeus do not mention Jesus at all and are his contemporaries

Their are many different mayan calenders depending on which cycle you wish to look at, the long count calender is a very popular one to many researchers on the 2012 predictions. 2012 could be true destruction, or just an "end" of a cycle, anywhere even to a change of all of our lives. This is the "end of an era" in precisely the manner in which the year 2000 (or 2001 if you like) was the change of an "era" - it's only an "era" in relation to a particular culture's system of marking the passage of time.

I have always found it interesting that any documentary on subjects that are deemed conspiracy theory receive a low amount of hits/watches when it should be seen as a possible truth and calculated as such. Jesus was not mentioned in any of his works until Antiquities which was written in 94 C.E. By that point the Gospels were written and his work is not capable of being first hand account but as hearsay. He was not a contemporary, he was a generation after. Pliny The Elder, Seneca, Philo Judaeus do not mention Jesus at all and are his contemporaries

Their are many different mayan calenders depending on which cycle you wish to look at, the long count calender is a very popular one to many researchers on the 2012 predictions. 2012 could be true destruction, or just an "end" of a cycle, anywhere even to a change of all of our lives. y'all should watch '2012 debunked'. it's a good start to unlearning this absolutely false information. i enjoy a good yarn as much as the next guy, but it's crappy that film maker like this put garnering attention of presenting well researched facts, which these are most definitely not. dig up the sources this guy uses. dig up THEIR sources. then compare these conclusions to those of true scholars in these subjects. this stuff is really, really off base - and it scares people. shitty.

But that's exactly what you do when you simply accept the validity of one type of information over the other.
Some see the sun as a choir of angels singing God's glory, Other's see it as a burning ball of gas, I see no contradiction. Nothing lost, something gained, perspective.

These pseudo sciences are trying to show you that you are creating your own reality, I am in heaven because nothing I see is void of God's beauty. Many are in hell as they won't allow themselves to see past their own dogmatic boundaries.

those divides - between nanoseconds - are still just arbitrary devisions of a whole, which humans employ to organize and navigate experience. as arbitrary as inches or centimeters. you can measure a distance using either, but neither is measuring qualities inherent in that measured distance. each is a product of our mind. there aren't little tiny hash marks on the ground we are detecting. the universe itself is not divided up by parts just because we measure it that way...

@Jayn0o plenty of philosophers have made the point that math is the product of the human mind. a sort of self validating logical loop. go read some . there is no inherent unit of universal measurement. scientists can't even find a smallest unit of matter, and the closer they get, the less like 'things' or 'units' the studied subjects become. in a very real sense, our minds DO create the universe, as everything we interact with is mediated my the mind, brain, nervous system, etc.

what i DID say - a principle you repeatedly demonstrate your inability to grasp - is that our MEASUREMENTS of it, are entirely subjective. we can make rulers with inches, but there are no inches according to which the earth can be seen to be divided or constructed. same with time. different calendars, different start/middle/end points, different units, etc. whether 'time itself' exists, is unknown. what IS known, is that how we measure it, is arbitrary.

This is the "end of an era" in precisely the manner in which the year 2000 (or 2001 if you like) was the change of an "era" - it's only an "era" in relation to a particular culture's system of marking the passage of time.

Lastly, the information in this video is full of OTHER basic historical errors as well. You can see any number of sources, easily accessible on youtube or elsewhere, of the theories. Just search as if looking for info on the topic(s), only add the terms "rebuttal" or "debunked" or "criticism" on the end of them; be amazed that there is contrary evidence you just plain haven't looked at, which is intellectually lazy; the mark of the amateur or dilettante. You'll figure it out in 2013.
