  • Dubstep is oversaturated; doesn't mean it's bad just like any other genre there's mainstream garbage and underground classics. NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN TO THE LEGENDS.

  • Music evolves and expands. There's no stopping that. To all the purists out there: GET OVER IT.

  • R.I.P

  • skream is such a legend lmfao

  • it wasn't killed... it's just proof how stupid our media is

  • That Joe Nice Geezer looks ABSOLUTELY WIRED!!

  • I hate being called a hipster just because I prefer the older style of Dubstep, its what I grew up with as a teenager till now as a young adult, if I were a hipster I would have jumped on the bandwagon later when it started going "filthy". It just makes me sad to see such a cool genre get taken for granted and turned all sugary nowadays but hey, that's how shit goes musically I guess...

  • It's a pity I watched this after dubstep had officially been killed. I would have really like to have been excited about this genre.

  • I want Skreams hoodie!

  • fuck dude, relax man, just chill, how can you love hate like this?

  • the old dubstep sounds really empty for me and the new dubstep sounds like a bunch of metal squares inside a tin can getting shaked with an electronic voice over it.

i like the middle stuff, like bar 9.

Old dubstep doesn't suck, but it just sounds empty.

the new shit...oh my god...i can't stand skrillex, nero and all that bullcrap!

  • @3lademast3r skrillex isn't even dubstep, stop talking about skrillex whenever you hear the word dubstep ! and nero is officialy brostep, that's why it's all about noisy bidrange basslines and most of pure dubsteppas hate it.

  • @estreet2007 but why is skrillex is nearly mentioned in every dubstep vid?

  • @3lademast3r because ignorance is taking over the world, pretty much everyone who's making a dubstep video nowadays is very new to the scene and doesn't want to learn much more about what he's talking about.

  • I remember when I interviewed people and blocked out what they were saying with music.

  • I was about to ask about the track at two minutes, but in the very last moment I realized the 'track id' thiingy sweeping over the video,.. way too much weed over here :/

  • @blue3713 same here haha

  • back when dubstep was good...

  • skream's sweatshit is hyphy as fuck

  • Whats the track from 0:20-0:30 and 5:49 till the end?

  • @Bukemaru Benga & Coki - Night :)

  • everyones coked out!

  • jaymes081, dub or dubstep theres a difference...

  • Skream looks like Rudy from Misfits in this video.

  • don't cry, music evolves

from interesting (early days) over a couple more stadia to finally picked up by the mainstream and thus f*cked up

    time for something new then

  • a genre that was once good, cause it originated from garage, dub, dnb, techno and other forms of UK rave. Now dubstep was killed by emo faggots like Skrillex and dumb metal posers like Borgore. The new fans suck too, little emo teen posers and hipsters, former metal and rock fans. go listen to your stupid guitars you shitty hipsters, leave the electronic music alone !!!

  • @andycolebg I like both skream/benga and borgore/skrillex. You need to stop worrying about people making stuff you don't like, and enjoying stuff you don't like.

  • @andycolebg,What do you mean 'leave the electronic music alone'? I mean it's like they've incorporated the dubstep into THEIR music. tbh you sound like a dickhead, narrow minded: 'stupid guitars' and 'emo faggots' - you do realise that electronic music employs electric GUITARS. people can listen to what the fuck they want,as long as their ears are jizzing. Just for the record I'm a rock fan but yeah I listen to trance, dnb, reggae, techno, dub, metal, classical as well. Got a problem?

  • @andycolebg i only like dubstep that skrillex makes that doesn't make me an emo teen poser DUMBASS

  • @chelygraps9 Skrillex is not making anything related or even close to dubstep, get over it and try at least to look up and learn what you're talking about you fool ! any argument you will come up with is invalid unless you learn what real dubstep is about.

  • @estreet2007 i am not a fool and i know what dubstep is!

  • @andycolebg You cant choose who your fans are man nor can you tell people what they can't listen to. Honestly i don't care at all who the fanbase is so long as i like the artist. I don't consider skrillex the best, but the shows have good energy and thats what its really about. When you get down because you just love the music thats all that matters.

  • @andycolebg Hello kind sir. GO FUCK YOURSELF.

  • @andycolebg ah you crazy hipster :)

  • @andycolebg

heyy heyy whoa buddy!! I used to be a fucking metal head myself but I know good dubstep when I hear it and dubstep artists like skrillex isnt good. I've done the research on what dubstep sounds like and the early artists like skream and benga here are perfectly great examples of GOOD dubstep.

  • @andycolebg I'm just saying that I am a metalhead and that I find Skrillex's and Borgore's stuff crappy. Borgore's "brutalness" is nothing compared to gory death metal. Yet, I like all these old school artists like Benga, Skream, Kode9, the good stuff.

  • @andycolebg Music is for everyone to enjoy! It's not yours and it's not mine! It's ours and everyone has right to listen to what they want! If you can't handle that then just stop listening!

  • Comment removed

  • @andycolebg "What are we gonna do, form a united front against Skrillex? Honestly, it’s pathetic. I think it’s ridiculous. Either listen to it or don’t listen to it. There’s still nights playing the stuff those people want to hear. It’s just bitchiness, it really is." -Skream

  • @andycolebg you are same type lol, crying like a little bitch, who gives a fuck, everyone listen music they like and don't give a fuck about retards like you. :)

  • @CompleteTomas yeah, i know you listen to lady gaga, skrillex, enrique iglessias and justin bieber. who`s the retard now, bit4 ?

  • @andycolebg lol, you don't have to tell me what are you listening, i'm not intrested rofl.

  • @andycolebg you're very narrow minded to the expansion of music, huh?

  • @andycolebg i know the thing is that emos ruined metal and rock now they want to destroy electronic too i used to love metal, rock and punk, but then emo came along and made it into absolute shit, they changed what metal was about, i stopped listening to metal at that point i've always listened to dubstep Dnb and Uk Garage ever since i was 5 and i hate the way the emos are ruining dubstep, i listen to all music Blues Reggae Hardstyle Trip hop but i cannot understand whats appealing about brostep

  • @andycolebg hahhahaa it really doesnt make any sense

  • @andycolebg Infighting is funny. And cunts that use "faggot" as a generic insult like you need a slap in the face.

  • @andycolebg So, you listened to dubstep before it was cool?

Oh come on, you had to see that one coming. You big fuck. Nobody gives a fuck. Let everyone enjoy the freggin music. I'd rather hear Skrillex than Justin Bieber.

  • My grandma listens to dub because she has to

  • YES!! he says belgium :)

  • The fuck is stenchman saying!

  • Can't understand the accents. WTF

  • wake the fuck up oliver!! lol

  • song that starts at 4:58? the video didnt name it. ive heard it before but i just forgot. werd.

  • @DrMagillicutty Burial - Archangel

  • @Reptillo nice! tysm man

  • why is skrilkex in the recomendations?

  • I got into Dubstep by 2010.

  • @PinoyPogiman The dawn of the end xD

  • they forgot el-b 1:15

  • Comment removed

  • i remember the good old days... gooooood old days!

  • I got my mom to like Dubstep heh

  • @Swatbotdubstep

    Nope

  • Back when dubstep was fresh & good... & most true fans didn't want to stab Skrillex in the eyes.

  • Am I the only one who would kill to have a hoodie like Skreams?

  • @SwatbotDubstep nah man me too, doope ass print

  • I just shook Mala's hand last night, amazing bloke

  • is the intro song "red" by "artwork" there isnt any id?

  • @Schattenschritt62 no its 'night' by benga and coki

  • so glad I got the chance to see scream, benga and stenchman in plastic people. Nights I will treasure and never forget

  • i wish I wasn't 14 in 08 so I could have gone to those old nights, I hate the brostep shit now

  • track at 0:51 ?

  • @Dextastep E-Trips by Benga

  • 'Well jast type Dabstep into Google n lowdsa fings cam ap'. Lol.

  • @kurumanify i didnt understand a single "word" you just said =/

  • @kurumanify lol *facepalm* exactly the problem right now

  • if you have big bassey head phones, and want to explore new crazy sounds of dubstep (nothing brostep)

then i suggest these songs to you

    peverelist - bluez

    syncro - angels

  • whats the song at 2.40?

  • @j0rdyb0y62 Gaslight by Burial

  • Skream is king

  • Joe Nice can feel it.

  • 2:30 Dylan Moran? D:

  • coki is king

  • Wow! I really had to cut off certain parts of my brain just to understand this video! Oh that part where he said that it's "Versatile" made me crack up! Especially when in the next sentence he says that D n B is "Too Fast"! It's far from versatile if you first of all limit the Tempo! Then you limit the Time Signature, then the Bass, & it has to have Drums, More Limits. It's the Limits that make these DJ's feel comfortable. The most limited music, for limited minds. Music is Art. This is not.

  • @therealKINDLE your a fool. all electronic musics genres are loosely based on the drum beat. just because its been done before it had a name doesnt mean its not a genre. drum and bass originated with breakbeat samples, and they werent as fast as they are today either. and they werent always called "drum and bass" yet now, its a genre. times are evolving and new genres are going to continue to pop up. i guess youll just sit back and say "none of this is anything" and not listen to it.

  • @goonmaster69 First of all, reverse psychology isn't going to work on me, so please refrain from premeditating my responses. 2nd, I don't work within genre's. So some electronic tracks don't even have drums! People will always try'n label tracks & assign art a criteria or category. Ólafur Arnálds for example has a very eclectic & expressive sound. At first, all the morons didn't like it; they didn't understand it. Now they've invented "Neo-Classical", they think themselves experts.

  • @therealKINDLE you must be high

  • @goonmaster69 An insult that opines no argument.

  • @therealKINDLE my opinion: what is your art, is probably shit to someone else. We all dont like the same things. im a big fan of a multitude of musical tastes, including this. This is new style coming out and there isn't much any of us will gain from bashing it and arguing. Most artists known today were not appreciated until their deaths. Noone likes to accept anything new, some get real complacent with what they have. Not trying to spark anything. just tossing it out there. your art is not mine

  • @Pudgilistic Yes but Dubstep is not art. Thats a fact. Because in art, you must have the freedom to express yourself freely. With no boundaries, styles, or ego rigidity. Dubstep is the epitome of "restriction" itself! And "New" you say? Ha ha! Man, I know people who were making it before it was even given a name! I like many new tracks. Artist's lack of recognition is a problem with the industry itself. When POP models & Twits like this who can only work in confinement are praised.

  • @therealKINDLE so if you "like" it so much, why are you bashing it? basically all im saying is there is really no point in bashing anything like this with restrictions or not. saying this isnt art because of its "restrictions is like saying heavy metal is not art because of its "restrictions" these guys are making bank, let them make money. being mad at it and talking down about it doesn't hurt them lol. what these guys are doing is art, just a specific art form. Like free flow art, or abstract.

  • @Pudgilistic I like many new "Tracks". Just a response to your countenance on New Music! Ah! So what you're saying is that it's about "making money", & nothing to do with music what so ever then?! :)b Heavy Metal actually yields it's restrictions in it's name! lol It's got to be "Heavy" & "Metal" describes it's inability to put down the Guitar. But even that style of music gives the artist more freedom to express than Dubstep's typical regime of servile Drums & trite Bass Wobble!!

  • @therealKINDLE again, not taking a aggressive stance, just stating my point, its good music to those who like it. I would like to hear what your response may be, but just so we have an understanding. I will not be posting about this in response so we don't clog up the comments feed lol.

  • @Pudgilistic This is what the comments section is for! We're 2 passionate ppl who are having a debate! We're not doin' any harm! Ok, Just imagine if Olof Dreijer sat down, with the intention of expressing himself, & then thought "Oh but I can't do that.. It sounds Warm, Delicate, Feral & Dark with a hint of parapsychological Enchantment.. It doesn't sound very Dubstep at all". The Fever Ray album would never have been made. Limited Music; Limited Imagination; Limit Style! :~)

  • @therealKINDLE Not art? So, what limits the genre? the fact that you'd NEED bass?

That's like saying a painter is limited by using a painting brush...

There's so much diversity in dub and dubstep, it's such a big mix of styles.

    I don't get your point,sir.

  • @TwistInMyth I say, the painter is not limited by his paintbrush. He uses his digits, sponges, & other objects! But seriously, that's your Argument?! Sigh.. Ok, There are many forms of art. Painting yes that's 1 of them! And Music is also one: "..is an art form who's medium is sound & silence". Not that you get much opportunity for silence in Dubstep!! There's about as much diversity in Dubstep as there is on the X-Factor. 140bpm, Drums always present, 4/4, LOUD, Wub-wub-wub, etc!!

  • Guys think of is this way us proper dubstep fans listen to all these proper old school tunes which is kinda a underground scene.

Let everyone listen to this fucking skrillex crap and this so called "modern dubstep" cus they don't know what they are missing out on.

  • i can't find stenchman's careful how you use it track .....

  • Kraken Recordings are still havin' the original old school sounds!

    RDG, 2000F, JSL/RUF!

  • 2011 ruined dubstep, and put it in the listening devices of 12 year old kids...

  • @estringer21

    this kids listening popstep ;]

  • @estringer21 nah...There were some good ass releases. You just gotta look harder.

  • mala coki loefah goth-trad (only good japanese dubstep artist i've heard) anyone affiliated with dmz is godlike

  • @mattehFLCL yeah, and what sucks is that they're so unknown (at least around where I live). wish more people who claim to love stuff like rusko, deadmau5, and scrillex would listen to the roots of the genre

  • They didn't metion EL-B

  • The people who put Dubstep out to the masses saying blatantly that IT'S ABOUT THE BASS. And what are new artists today lacking? It's no longer dubstep aside from these guys. It's now just a hunk of glitched out vocal garbage. It's nothing like what it originally was aside from the guys who date back to the beginning days an still produce (minus a couple who sold out to the mass public.)

  • Joe Nice said Sweden, Norway, Finland but forgot to say Denmark. Everbody just forget this little flake :/

  • its fucking crazy how fast things have moved over the last 3 years. great video!

  • Good video

  • What are the names of the tunes playing in the video???

  • @LukeSega How about you actually watch the whole video?

  • @LukeSega the names are all been shown in the video, look closely at the diagonal bar that slides over the screen. the first one is night by benga.

  • I LIVE THERE IN CROYDON WOOO!

  • If i could ever save enough money to go on any kind of tour I'd make sure to experience dubstep in the UK, for real easy.

  • 0.54 Skream picking his ear and then just puttin his hand back in his pocket...nasty :s

  • @BananasandMustard he's just rubbing the top of his ear, not inside his ear

  • Coki - Spongebob

    It says right there lol

  • what is the song at 0:30 ?

  • LOL skream looks like he didnt sleep for about 3 days

  • Comment removed

  • Snorestep? Never heard of it

  • WHAT THE TRACK AT 20 seconds in!! please!!

  • @itinho247 Benga & coki - night

  • Whats the track on 5:02 ??

  • @JuvynleRecordz burial - archangel

  • 4:20 sure hes standing outside a DMZ night

  • All these Skrillex loving faggots should watch this.

  • those were the days...

  • Ironic that most the people leaving comments here really seem to know their shit.

  • i fucking wish people still understood that this is dubstep, not the shit UKF puts out

  • @TrisJJ94 The stuff UKF puts out IS... i repeat IS dubstep, the stuff UKF Dubstep puts out is one of the 7/8 Sub-genres of dubstep the stuff in this video is known as "Snorestep"

  • @bassline0121 snorestep? shut the fuck up, the tracks in this video ARE dubstep. i hate people like you, snorestep isn't even a genre its a fucking made up word

  • @DestinyxFreak45 Are you stupid? Snorestep is a word that defines a sub-genre of dubstep, low frequency songs where only the high end systems are needed to hear the song at it's fullest.

Tit go do some research on dubstep.

  • @bassline0121 LOL shut the fuck up moron, there is no such thing as snorestep, you fucking noobs love making up new label names in order to make yourself feel exclusive. I bet you think drumstep is an actual genre too huh shit for brains? lololololol

  • @superzenith are you some sort of moron in almost every genre there's a sub genre within it Dubstep is a sub-genre of UK Garage as too is grime, within dubstep there's 7/8 including Snorestep, hatestep, drumstep, brostep, purple and some others... rather than saying "dubstep" which is such a wide range of meanings.

  • @bassline0121 Drumstep is half time dnb, nothing new about it. Snorestep and hatestep? WTF? Youre a complete idiot.

  • @audiohifi420 No, since dubstep is such a wide genre consisting of song from joker's melodic relaxing songs (Purple) to lets say uhm... borgores hate filled songs(hatestep... or gorestep) it's ways in defining what type of song instead of saying 'Dubstep' which could mean so many things

  • @bassline0121 LOL i stand by original statement that youre a complete idiot. "Purple" isnt a subgenre you moron, its a term that Joker coined that was actually used in dnb back in the day to refer to his "lush" sounds, gorestep is what Borgore called himself basically for promotion, neither refers to any new subgenre. Theres dubstep and post-dubstep, stop convincing yourself otherwise dubstep guru.

  • Comment removed

  • @superzenith Also... Label names? you are aware that a label is something totally different to a sub-genre?

  • @superzenith i heard bassline0121 is a fan of sandwichstep... still not as good as cornonthecobstep or empirestatebuildingstep

  • @superzenith sorry but drumstep is a genre...

  • @goonmaster69 Sorry but no, halftime dnb with some shitty jump up bassline doesnt make a new genre.

  • @superzenith its not half time dnb, the drum beats are dubstep related, kick, snare. with the second bar usually has a kick accent. it doesnt sound, or feel like dnb. your not the genre police, you dont decide if a new style of music is a genre, if its a new style, then its a new genre. whether you accept that or not is up to you

  • @goonmaster69 he might not be a the genre police but youre not a genre innovator. Youre a complete idiot if you think drumstep is a fucking genre. Kick and snare is what makes drumstep unique? lul look up donny, he was doing halfstep dnb AKA your precious "drumstep" back when you were in diapers. I bet you call a convertible car a "half car" because it makes you feel cool huh?

  • @superzenith well dubstep wasnt dubstep before people started calling this new style of garage dubstep. There is no official genres

  • @bassline0121

Its not the nation, its the music itself guys.

uk/ usa/germany etc. there are all great artist.

  • @TrisJJ94 sigh

  • @nameless12345 thanks for that, nice input

  • @TrisJJ94 Finally someone who understands UKF is garbage.

  • @TrisJJ94 remember that both skream an benga have released tracks on UKF but i do agree the sub heavy dubstep is the real dubstep i love.

  • Hipster @ 2:01

  • ive been trying to find stenchmans song for so long does anyone know the name? 3:06

  • @s1993j careful how you use it

  • @s1993j Careful how you use it, he hasn't released it which i wish he would! >:(

cant wait when he releases it(if he does)

  • I miss the old Skream. The new one sucks.

  • @AndresMileno ummm have you heard his new deep medi release? and you think that sucks? youz a clown if so

  • aw fuck, I forgot about early Skream

    he was fucking awesome man

  • @kyussfan6 Yeah and you were that talented at making it we've all heard of you I'm sure, you must be as good as these guys then!? Who are you?

  • @TrueToBassMusic who said anything about being good? music is all about timing. you godda be at the right place at the right time. if your not, your not going to make it.

  • Step one: BE A COMPLETE FAGGOT

  • @6JACOB6MARTINEZ6

    haters gonna hate

    trolls gonna troll

    fags gonna be fags

  • Good bass and Good vibes! Anyone know of some good stuff to listen to thats similar to mt eden or blackmill?

  • Stenchman kills it

  • @kyussfan6 You can't say it does take talent. It takes talent to manipulate a sound in a synth and lay it down over drum patterns, bass patterns each with their own pattern. It takes talent to produce a song electronically with 100% quality and so you sir clearly no little about good electronic music.
