the best free screen recorder in my opinion is aTube Catcer 2.2. No lagging of the PC when recording. Good picture quality on the recorded video. Small size on the recorded video. I have tried several free screen recording , but this one rocks!

Hello everyone. I don't know it any of you have ever ran into this,problem with any,screen capture/recording program, but everytime that I,run "any" of these, types of programs on my computer, 3-4 minutes into,the recording my,computer just freezes up. This has happened with every,and any program of,this type I use.I run Windows Vista Home Premium, my computer has 3 GB mem RAM so I don't see why this shouldn't work. Any suggestions on,how to stop this from happening?

Fraps records as long as you have it. And it doesn't only record games, it records any item that runs off an EXE (or the file extension you use for mac or linux.) For instance, if you watch a video on windows media player, you can record it with fraps, since media player has exe file extention.
