  • thanks for posting this, the video quality is great. I miss marching that show. It kicked my butt so bad, but it was an amazing rush to perform.

  • @neetsac Wow, I marched that show. I would really love to hear that.

  • I miss those G horns.

  • I've watched this vid at least 10 times! This is my favorite SCV show by far

  • The 1997 Charlotte NC show has gone down as one of the best performances in SCV's history. When we came off the field we knew it, our staff knew it and the audience knew it. If a video of that night exists I hope it makes it way to YouTube someday.

  • When we took the field at Charlotte in 2001, the announcer mentioned the 97 show. Something like "Remember when these guys came here in 97?"

  • @BrassoMagnus

Isn't that the same show where Don Freund talked to us after the show? ;o

  • 4:18 - 4:22 = Best Mello run EVER!!!!

  • Thanks for posting! Tapper aka "Cud" here. 97 hornline. Great group, rad staff (Dean Westman, best Brass Caption head EVER!) Myron and his team. Ralph, Murray and their team, J-Dub. Goal accomplished: PEAK @ FINALS.

Also Gordon Henderson and Jim Casella's masterful arrangements.

    Class.

    marching ppl:

Scope out alternate attention position; horn @ 45, jazz-running and other toe-first movement, right foot stepoffs and passthrus @ 1s. Plenty of 7/4, 7/8 and 180bpm. Company-front bows <0.5inch.
