  • love it

  • This singer was and still is the best in this genre. Along with Xij Lis, I think theyare just so......ooooo perfect. Why did she stop singing? Married?

  • @MrKoto2010 People are saying she got married to Cy Thao, but i don't know if that was the reason why she stopped...could be.

  • She is one of the best and can really sing indian song. Too bad she stop singing in early 90.

  • Check out my channle I've just upload one of Sy Lee new song singing with his daugther.

  • For the people who dislike this video, If you hate this so much, Why are you still on here typing your opinions? Move along, there's plenty of video to watch on youtube. LMFAO

  • LMFAO....I'm a big fan of Sy Lee and Lee Vang when they first came out singing Hmong/Hindi songs. The ignorant Hmong haters well...they can go back to Laos and do themselves a favor and get lost in the jungle. Perhaps be killed by the LPA. LOL...Ignorant people are among the HMONGS.

  • She's still out there...its just that...being in the spot light takes a lot of energy trust me..now she's got a family and a whole new perspective in front of her...life wise....

  • wow did I just hear the singer sang in Hindi(the major language of India) correctly? I think she did a good job. I understand half of Hindi and can speak it also. I wonder did she also study Hindi?

  • i have no idea...but it's unfortunate that she only ever did this one album with sy lee then she completely vanished from the music scene.

  • oh wow did they also sing this one song together? The Indian version is called Kora Kagaz. The Hmong version starts off with the guy singing Koj zoo li lub paj???

  • yep, i already uploaded that one too if you check on my channel

  • I think Lis Vaj is one unique person to sing this song ...and so is Sy Ly ... thanks 4 sharing ^_^ ..lucky you upload cuz my cassette was lost ! LOL

  • No problem! They're one of my favorites! :-D

  • OoOOoOoOoo, when he sangs in Indian it sounded real!!! i guess ppl just arent used to hearing indian songs in hmong yet, so they complain...but just give them time, im sure they'll start liking it. cuz the singer actually has a good voice!!! especially when she sings indian!!! listen at 1:53 !!! AMAZING!

  • Hindi, not "Indian".

    ...Christian "wannabes"?? O_o

  • and to all the hmong idiots who attack this video and claim relation to me...lol. i don't consider you hmong and i would never share bloodlines with conservative backwards thinking people like you. for all those in support, thank you.

  • it's so sad that all these people who come on here to talk shit about the video are christians...of course, any real christian would be ashamed to see these idiots shame their religion like this...it's not enough that the world is at war because of religions...now...a youtube video...lol...is being attacked in the name of religion. wow. this is a new low and really pathetic at it.

  • hey looser! why did u block so many other people who need to tell you what you are? you also need to take your own advice from your profile! stupid *****

  • that haezel idiot blocked me too! she should apologize to sandhufile. just report her to youtube administration. she doesn't not represent the hmong ppl. feel sorry for her kind.

  • i am a hmong person and i know for a fact that the hmong entertainment, dubbing, and copy-cat stuff like is is really disgusting/disturbing to the "educated" hmong ppl. i agree with that other person who said that haezel was a "thailand girl" bcus u can't convince these old style ppl. their parents taught them and u can't change their mind at this point in their life....light bulb moment hasn't occured.

  • "Light bulb moment hasn't occured"...lol. If that's all it takes to become someone like you...well, I am glad that light bulb moment will never occur for me. Also...I question your light bulb...it doesn't seem to be working very well because you say you know for a fact that the hmong ent., etc is "Really digusting / disturbing to the 'educated' hmong people"...that's an OPINION for you "educated" hmong person. OH, and don't feel sorry for me...feel sorry for yourself and your sandhufiles.

  • just ignore her and ppl like her. she has no honor and ppl like her are in "shamanism" religion - pls pray for her. hmong ppl fall into two types: christian and shamanism. haezel - don't even think to debate or correct anything from this further. u know, ok.

  • lol...you mean you are an assimilated westernized Hmong person. I definitely don't represent the entire Hmong population and I never said I did, but I can say that I speak for many people when I say that you are a disgrace to the human race. I don't know how I could've blocked you when this is the first time I'm seeing you write on this board. Second of all...hmmm, "educated"....that's why you spell because "bcus" and can't write full sentences.

  • ryeenagill, please ignore my aunty and help stop this disgraceful fight. I apologize on behalf of the Hmong people because I agree that this singer sung this song badly (vocally). Nobody really watches these dubbed or remix foreign movies except oldies and no life people because the Hmong really either disgracefully translated it, dubbed it unintelligently and totally unrelated to it's originality, or remix it into the Hmong language singing it badly.

  • I must have forgotten to logged out of my youtube account at the pc center. I apologize for any trouble(s).

  • I would also like to say that the hmong dubbed versions are more for the older generations that can't read or speak in English. They, too, enjoy Indian movies and the only way for them to enjoy them is to watch them dubbed. It is not because Hmong people are obsessed with Indian people or want to be Indian or trying to offend Indian people. If someone appreciates your culture, why argue with that? Clearly, Idiots. If you go to Hmong festivals, we dub many other international films.

  • please pass the throat lozenges! lol wanna-be indians!

  • I guess idiots will always be idiots. Please pass them so that I can shove them down your throat and have you guys choke on them! :-D. Then you will really hear the gobble gobble that you guys so desperately want to hear. Don't worry, no Hmong person wants to be Indian. If you can't tell the difference between a wanna-be Indian and appreciation for another culture, then you're on the list with George W. Bush, Jr. Idiot...!

  • any throat lozengers available? lol gobble gobble

  • omg - it's like a turkey gobbling off pitch. if u want to copy / wanna-be indian things please do not embarassed yourself!

additionally, hmong translations are never correct...it just shows how far one's intelligence goes...

  • You are a very sad and pathetic person. Jesus may not be embarrassed to have you worship him, but God certainly is. Your religion has taught you nothing!

  • look who's the sad and pathetic person! u got problem with sandhufile then why u don't speak normal rather than attack Jesus or God! u sure don't talk like a Christian.

  • I'm not attacking Jesus or God. I'm just telling it like it is in the Bible...but I guess you haven't bothered to read the Bible either. Another thing, I am not affiliated with any religion, but I am aware and educated in all religions and I would never ever attack someone based on their religion. We have people already doing that and misinterpreting...which is probably what you did. Because of people like you guys, this world is in the state it is.

  • When you ask whatever/whomever you worship, "why is the world so cruel"? just look at yourself. Disgusting human beings!

  • Oh...God, this is so bad........not that she copied the song/music but the video too?

  • this isn't even "so bad". i don't know what you're talking about, but i made the vid...the singer didn't copy the vid. it's better than all the other ones out there. and lis vaj happens to be one of the decent hmong singers from the 90s.kk thx la~

  • of course u wouldn't know - you're still thailand girl style

  • Thailand girl style? I was never in Thailand long enough to develop a Thailand girl style. Obviously, you are a very close minded person who has no appreciation for different cultures or diversity. You may argue with me when you learn to argue intelligently. Also, many people who don't like to listen to Indian music have commented that it sounds like turkeys gobbling, so you might want to take care of your words there.

  • obviously u have the intelligence problem. i agree strongly with sandhufile. how would u like it if someone took your hmong song and turned it into some dumb junk tune and translated it incorrectly? we've seen enough hmong people taking our movies and songs and dubbing it into some comical low-life trash! shame on u.

  • Yes, i have "the intelligence problem". Wow, you're so smart that you can't even speak correctly. I wouldn't care if you took one of our Hmong songs and turned into a "dumb junk tune" and "translated it incorrectly". First off, Hmong music is a mix of a lot of different cultures and that also applies to being Hmong and the Hmong culture itself. You obviously know nothing about the Hmong people and their culture. That's funny that you've seen our dubbed versions but you're saying it is trash when

  • you don't even understand it! Yet you continue to rip it apart like it is a mother tongue of yours. I also didn't know that trash could be "low-life", but sure. Shame on you for butchering the English language if anything needs to be said and shame on you for the ignorant nationalist bigot that you are. Everything I said to Sandhufile applies to you.

  • i think the hindi version is way better but i think that this is very good for a hmong song translatioin. im indian and my wife is hmong...thought i would add that too.

  • i agree with you. the hindi version is better, but the hmong version definitely has its bearings as well like you said. the hmong version is a totally different interpretation in the modern sense, vocally and culturally and i believe that was what bee was referring to...well, the music anyway.

well, i am just happy to share lis vaj's rendition of it because i love hindi music and cross-cultural things, so i am glad to hear other people like it as well, aside from the original. :)

  • just bcus the music sounds some what similar does not mean that the translations are correct...and ur wife is not hmong. singhs haven't married a hmong person yet!

  • I AM PUNJABI (with my last name singh (according to my birth certificate)), MY WIFE IS HMONG AND MY SON IS BOTH...if you got a problem with then message me directly...ENOUGH SAID!!!!

  • looks like we've got a nationalist on our hands... this rendition was never meant for offense nor accurate translations because sometimes the actual meanings are lost in translation. you're a sad human being to begin with so...it's ok. I see that you are a Christian and a nationalist...I guess that is enough to be said.

  • when all else fails attack a person's religion. she didn't even anything wrong other than to tell u how offensive and embarassing it is but of course u have no sense of intelligence in music or respect for other ppl's professional work. lol true u are a real wanna-be indian! shameful of your own kind.

  • I'm not attacking sandhufile's religion at all. But I'm sure true Christians all over the world are disgusted to have someone like him/her claim Christianity as her/his religion...someone who can't even begin to understand how to appreciate other people's cultures. I would also like to know how appreciating Indian music is offensive to you. At least we are not mocking you guys like other people do. Just because we like Indian music and try to make it into our own, it is offensive? ha!

  • I also want to make something very clear to you--which is that you should stop arguing on false assumptions. I am not and have never been shameful of my own people. Just because I have an appreciation for other cultures and music does not make me dislike my own. You're ignorant and a nationalist. If you don't want other people to appreciate your music, then so be it. Even Gandhi would be ashamed of you and Sandhufile!

  • I have to say....I actually liked the hmong version better....the bollywood version was too boring.

  • lol. The voice doesn't even sync with the lips. The song is okay...but u should try harder next time! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

  • it is not meant to sync perfectly, since the hmong rendition is different from the hindi version. and considering my ram was being lame, it was amazing okkkkk? lol
