  • Problem is, over the past 10-15 years speed limits in some parts of the UK have become too low so no one respects them. Most of the time it's due to political pressure rather than 'health & safety' as they claim. At least there's no more funding for Gatso's anymore.

  • i can't believe you're all so evil.. children are not as capable as adults to see how fast a car is going or how far away it is! they follow their balls to the street without thinking and so on. would you rather want children dying than slowing down a bit??

  • @estibin

I was being sarcastic u fucking retard! I know what this ad is about.

  • lol even if 30 theres more than 20% chance of a little girl getting killed

  • WTF!? Why was she just laying there? Where is the car? Or an ambulance? Or get parents.... Brits are fucking stupid!

  • @Knot2shaby Who says she was playing? Maybe she was retrieving a ball from the street or running across it to meet a friend...it is not necessary to see the car (or van/truck) to make the point in this ad...maybe you live in Magicville where ambulances appear a microsecond after an accident happens? Why do the parents need to be there? Why state that Brits are stupid when this ad has gone way over your head - I'll bet you haven't even realised WHY the girl slides back into the road! Pillock!

  • parents need to get they kids out the way of cars! why is she by herself in the first place?

  • @JACPresentations The point is about speed limits, not parental control! It could be an adult who gets hit by a speeding car...jeez!

  • If I stay out of the road, there's a 100% chance I'll live

  • @girlofgaga63 loool so true

  • I cringe at the sound of her bones snapping

  • If you hit me at 40 miles an hour, you were probably going 75 initially, and are an idiot. If you hit me at 30 miles per hour, you were probably going 60-65 mph in a residential zone, and are still nuts. If you hit me at 20-25 mph, I will probably live, but you probably were initially going 50 mph.

  • I think we should be less concerned about the speed limit and more concerned about DEAD CHILDREN CRACKING THEIR BONES BACK INTO PLACE AND THEN COMING BACK TO LIFE.

  • Hit me at 30 mph there and 80% chance i'll live, hit me at 40 and there an 80% chance i'll die... Stop trying to hit me

  • if you dont hit me i will exept you and let you drive off but if you hit me at any speed ill get up and throw you car into FUCKING! oblivian!

  • What's the music in this ad

  • Mmmm...crunchy.

  • simple, dont play i the road and you will have much more of a chance of living

  • they tried enough kid to say like at 30 80% lived ? xD

  • Wait.......I know that it replayed time and everything, but dosen't this just prove that she was laying in the street?

  • the bones cracking part is gross..

  • watch?v=Yc1Y2580YFg

It's 30 for no reason......in the middle of what should be a highway (later in the video)

  • have you seen the one that goes, "Hit me at 30 miles an hour and there's an 80 per cent chance I,ll live." Encouraging gambling! i mean, i really like those odds, but come on!"

  • i'll make sure i hit hard enough next time so u wont come back

  • hit her at 40 and get the job done properly

  • if you was doing 50 he would of already gone past before she crossed out

  • its 30 for a reason ???? it should read "its a road for a reason" !!!

  • I dont get this. Can someone explain?

  • she accepted that she'll be hit by the car...

but she's trying to tell to the driver that had hit her that if only he keep his speed at 30mph speed limit..maybe she was still alive..though she was hit..and will juz get injuries,,,but not death,,

  • @spideynut

    how can u not understand ? r u 12 or something ?

  • Getting hit while crossing just makes you look like an idiot. Watch both ways and listen (listening to music does you no justice). See how easy that is? It's not the drivers fault and that girl should blame her parents. Speed Limit serves no purpose but revenue :(

  • You've already identified that a percentage of pedestrians cross without looking, then suggest speed restrictions serve no purpose. Surely you can see the complete dichotomy that creates you?

Accidents will always happen, so by reducing national speeds across the board, death & serious injury will be reduced.

  • @lollygaggle Reduce all limits to 0 then. No injuries.

  • @sociopathicregret I am not sure I understand why you have tasked me with that?Do you view me as being in charge? I acknowledge the sentiment, but it is misplaced. You could try writing to parliament & see what they think of your suggestion?

  • @lollygaggle Im just saying that your argument is bad

  • @sociopathicregret You haven't sup0plied any detail though - you'd prefer your kids to be hit at higher speeds than lower ones, is that what you are saying?

  • @styleKIMCHI people like you obviously just don't get it. There are enforced speed limits for a very good reason and anyone smart would realise that.

  • OK, I'll be sure I hit you at 30 then!

  • I can see what the commercial's trying to say, but it almost sounds like they're saying hitting kids at 30 miles and hour is almost acceptable, lol.

  • OMG! It's the Grudge!!!

  • if i was the judge. electricchair for the driver, and lynching for the child in the middle of the road. pretty even

  • heres a mean joke on this ad at the end it should say don't leave witnisses speed up lol I know its mean but it made me laugh

  • I seriously dont get why they still put on THINK car adverts because every day hundreds of people die from road accidents. I dont think adverts are going to change because accidents DO happen.

  • what's the percentage if he gets hit at 31?

  • hahahahahahaha omg thats brilliant :D:D

  • -.-

  • lol if you hit me at 20 il get up and rip your balls off if you hit me at 50 il become a susage lol

  • Its freaky!

  • enn ein auglýsing,,,

  • Hún er 2 og hálfs árs gömul fíflið þitt !

  • I 'think!' kids who play in the road should probably die in order to strengthen the gene pool. After all, who wants mentally challenged children to grow up to breed and pollute the pool?

  • damn straight. they shouldnt be aloud to reproduce and make stupid kids. survivial of the fittest

  • how ironic that you say they shouldnt reproduce to make "stupid" kids, when you can't even use the correct spelling of "allowed" :)

  • why are they complaining about drivers when kids are playing in the middle of the road? ffs, get some common sense

  • @coldfire1k they probably wernt playing in the road, the advert is for SPEEDING they make them about kids playing in the road aswell, but what if this child was just crossing and a car sped round a corner? that child could have grown up to discover something great. Think about all the memorys you have, all the happy ones, they had just as many... and if you kill them through speeding then they will have none, all because of you.

  • martin1886, you're right, that would stop a lot of cagers from speeding, but it won't stop bikers using a flipup plate or a dealer plate. But, speeding bikes don't do NEAR the damage a speeding cage does.

  • wtf, why are playground zones 30 km/hr if at 30mph theres an 80% chance. i WANT TO GO FASTERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • oh! miles per hour, i thought it talked about kilometers,...

  • this was 12a in the cinema

  • the child actress in this info-commercial is fantastic!

  • Educate parents and guardians that they're responsible for their children and it's going to become law and punishable by imprisonment if they allow a child as young as this anywhere near a road without a responsible adult present and there's a '100%' chance she'll live.

If you allow your child to play near a cliff can you point the finger at the cliff if the child falls to it's death?

Think ..make your government grow up and stop passing the buck.

  • Your kidding right? Passing the buck? The ad is pointing out that speed limit is what it is for a reason. Dont be a douche.

  • How is 40mph too slow on a residential street? You are completely missing the point. The simple fact is, as the advert says, in a collision at 30mph, the child has an 80 per cent chance of survival. That chance is drastically smaller at 40mph. The advert speaks for itself, so there should be no debate about it. Being hit at 30mph is statistically less serious that being hit at 40. THAT IS THE POINT.

  • How is 40mph slow, because it just is for me. I'm arguing against the advert because they should be advocating better driving skills, attitudes and responsbilities. We all know the higher the magnitude of velocity yields a higher magnitude of impact, and that finally yields the decrease chance of surivival. No drivers want to kill a child by running it over, no drivers want to hit a child. Going the speed limit wont change it, THAT IS MY POINT.

  • Being able to stop quicker is the difference between life and death, nothing in life is guaranteed, no one said an accident was not avoidable, but the result after it could be drastically changed. The definition of a good or bad driver is totally subjective, stop with the hypothetical situations, no one said why she was in the road. Speed is not relative to perspective, 30 is just as fast outside as it is inside, take a physics class.

  • Way to miss the mark.

    If the speed limit is 30 miles per hour;

    a) You can stop quicker

    b) If a small child falls, trips or lands out into the road and is hit, they have a 80% chance of living. Irrelevant of the circumstances that they were hit, which obviously resolves the aspect of blame, which is not the point of the advert.

If you had a license, which i doubt you do, you can clearly see that's a residential road, with a mandatory limit of 30.

  • Do you kno what the safest speed is? 0mph. Does that mean no one should drive>? By your logic, this would seem to be the case. Further, a driver with faster reaction times will be able to slow down TO 30mph from 40, 50, or even 60mph quicker than the driver who is an idiot who barely bothers to brake as he hits said girl at 40!~

  • This is the most gayest advert ever. I girl is just complaining that she has beenn hit at 40 mph and not at 30 mph. We never hear her say 'don't hit me at all'. If she is only bothered about being hit at 30mph, why didnt she just run 10 mph the opposite way, when she saw the car coming lol?

  • wow, you really have missed the point by a country mile

  • Look at her wrist its disclocated and the pops into place eww

  • very nice ad, I think we should think twice before speeding in urban areas with kids, as they can pop up out of the blue

  • Good ad... puts things into an easy perspective

  • Very, very effective. Obviously the more "mature" comment makers here have no kids....

  • AAAAAAAAAAA! I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING HORRIBLE! when she lifts up her second arm just look at her wrist! its broken and then it CLICKS back into place!

  • So, the moral to this story is that if you don't like creepy night-of-the-living-dead kids, drive on the sidewalk in front of a school at 40 mph! (Oh, yeah, they probably measure speed in k/h... oh well.)

  • No, we're still in mph, but km/h is more efficient and we are planning to change soon.

  • define "more efficient" - a measurement is a measurement. the difference between 60kph and 70kph is negligible - the difference between 30mph and 40mph isn't.

  • Not in the sense of a road accident. Efficient in the sense that Europe uses it and it measures speed and distance better with metres.

  • eww! the grudge 3

  • ...holy crap, that was creepy, and although it makes you think with a good message of not to speed, they dont tell you to AVOID running over little kids... odd isnt it?

  • What a disturbing bum PUBLIC INFORMATION FILM!!! (Hides under covers)

  • Goddamn, this is a creepy ass commercial. Really thought-provoking.

  • What about being hit on the motorway?

  • What on earth are you crossing motorway for??? Now you don't have to bloody think for that now, are you? Hahahah...

  • The only thing this commercial made me think about was what 30 mph was translated into kmph. I didn't even know the UK still uses the imperial system? I thought only the US used that...

  • We use Metric mostly but we still use MPH and yards on roads. A gradual change is planned though.

  • i used to be absolutly scared of this advert, but now i come over it and added it to my favourites

  • omg i hate this advert when the bones go back into place

  • That makes me want to cry this commercial.

    It's painfully effective ;_;

  • Boring?.. you need your head sorting... it ment to make you think.. don't bloody speed!

  • It is freaking boring, cry me a river!!

  • wow, 28 seconds and you still get bored, i think too many computer games and game shows has allowed you attention to degrade.
