  • hey i just got my new 60D how much should I charge the battery for the first time?

  • @fdeanda96 till it gets full, that was kind of a dumb question..

  • 60d FTW!

  • ooppsss!!!your wrong... the DOF is on the right/down side of the 60D...somewhere near when you mount the lens through it....

  • I can see by looking at the image that you placed a Battery Grip on the 7D which doesn't allow for a proper size comparison.

  • I was about to mention the DoF button on my 60D. I'm not sure if you're aware but although you can preview video on an external monitor in 1080i, it switches to 480 x 720p (or DVD res) as soon as you start recording whereas I'm told the dual DIGIC IV processors on the 7D allows it to output full 1080 even while recording. Still, if you pre-focus, not a huge deal, just a minor disappointment on the video side.

  • is this both product are water resistant?plz reply asap thank u

  • @bijayranjana They are both slightly water resistant (more so than the Rebels) but the more you pay, the more resistant. The 1D's are the most weather resistant of the Canon line, but you're gonna pay over 4K for those. I spent a whole weekend at a windy beach with my 60D out most of the time (high on a tripod but still) and the wind constantly blowing salty water and sand up the beach the whole time. I came out w a salty, crusty UV filter on the lens & sand all over but no permanent issues.

  • WOW! I have assumed there was no DOF at all on that camera... Thanks for letting me know about it! I still use both cameras and the 60D is definitely my default video shooter with the 7D the default still.

  • @naftulyev All i care about is VIDEO....so explain to me how the cheaper 60d can be better at video than the 7d that has a lot better AF..19 point AF....and the 60d only has 9 point AF....for action shots...and essentially every shot is action b/c there is always movement from people and things in any video....so AF is critical....i'm not into the shallow depth of field shots as much as everyone else seems to be...i want everything in focus

  • @whole27 YOU CARE ABOUT VIDEO AND YOU DONT KNOW THAT IN DSLR VIDEO THERE IS NO AUTOFOCUS??? dumbass.

  • @llleolllolll : Dumbass, there is autofocus. However it's not recommended as it continues to hunt focus everytime and the motor noise of the lens can be loud.

  • @criticaltinker there is autofocus in liveview BUT there is no autofocus in video-mode while filming. may i call you dumbass now?

  • You missed DoF button on 60D because Canon hid it on the other side :) It is slightly visible from 1:22 to 1:56

  • @xbeforea .....cool....just bought my 60D...I think it is a VERY capable camera for stills and vid...thanks for pointing the DOF button...didn't even know it was there....but it actually is in a very natural place to hit with your left index finger....one of the huge selling points for me on the 60D was the bang for the buck and the GREAT ergonomics....
