@TheSoupDemon To make any zip in metal larger than a #10 (which readily exist) it would take so much material it would be too heavy too use and be rather expensive to make. So, while it is possible (there were some back in WW2 for like bomber tarps) to be made today, there isn't much of a market for them. ^_^; That's why we make some of the #30's in a metallic finish to give the impression, though.
@Torakat Hey, if you got a 'real' zipper like this, you just reconnect it on the bottom box feeder like shown here. Or if you got "zipper chain" (which is probably what you got for an Org coat) with two sliders, you can pop the slider(s) back on the track really easily as shown in the other video we uploaded.
+ if you want, you can add metal jewelry crimps to the tips of the zipper chain to prevent accidentally pulling the slider all the way off again.
@supersarah454 Oh, this was one of our old prototype zippers (which is why the sides don't match) since our original giant zips didn't fully separate like this. There are now "real" ones made by now. ^_^;
@PRocker320 Instead of the vinyl pull? We don't have metal pulls (since it would probably be too heavy in addition to the zipper for most people) but the key-ring is removable, so you can add anything you'd like onto the slider for the pull.
It is already on its way, so I would estimate 2 days from now to get from here to there. (You can track your package via the confirmation email that was sent &/or on the shipping status page on the zipper site.) ^_^
We specifically produced them for making costumes - in particular for Kingdom Hearts designs, altho many other cosplayers and designers have also used them now. They're also been used for a London fashion show, in an international holiday cosmetics display, on vehicles and camping equipment, in museums, in commercials, and way more uses than we ever thought of ourselves.
