  • Just wait till halloween......trick or treat.

  • Wow make it do Brown Girl In The Ring by Boney M.

  • Is that christmas tune "Angels We Have Heard On High"?

  • Son of a gun. Thank you for this.

  • I would hate to have this in my house and ding dong ditched. it would just go on and on...

  • @TheSvvagganator That's when you have an air horn hooked to your doorbell and pointed at the little jerks.

  • There is not a PLC in this system, it works with a Windows based computer running a pretty straight forward Visual Basic program that read s a text file. Each song is its own text file created on notepad then opened with the program. Each line in the text file represents a 16th note. Example:

a1 would play the lower a (there are two of them)

    a2 plays the higher a

    a1:c1 would play a chord

repeating the same line over holds notes (4 lines for a quarter note)

    flats are capital letters

  • This would make Solicitors Visiting really anticlimactic.

  • if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing! love it!

  • why dont you make it play mozart...???

    just a sugestion...

  • Fucking hell imagine, that twa* going off every 5 mins on bonfire night! - you`d soon have that torn off the wall!

  • awesome i always wanted to do this!

  • Yay! Now I know I'm not the only crazy person that's wanted to do this. I was going to order a set of Peterson's Catherdral Chimes and put a MIDI controller on them, but this looks cool too.

  • Very cool!!!

  • heel cool!

  • old school

  • Now THAT is a door bell. I have two 20 note sets of these things. I would love to know what sort of a program/relay interface you used to get this to function. Nice tribute too.

  • A magnificent use of some grand-sounding Deagan chimes. Excellent!

  • THAT IS JUST TO AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sooooo getting/making one of these babies.

  • Great work!

  • Made using TwinCAT PLC + BK9000?

  • The Beckhoff is run by a PC made primarily from scrap parts lying around.
