yes it dose but ur a little to late cuz hes using firmware 1.1.3 and the latest is 3.0.1 wich you can allso jailbreak but i dont really know whitch firmware you are using but if you go into settings/general/about the scroll down you should see you current firmware then search on you tube for (your firmwear) jailbreak.

no stupid use the new version just out, i have a brand new 16gb ipod touch, and it works perfectly, just try, if it doesn't work hold home and the slepp wake till it turns off, then unplug the dock connector, hold home and plug in the dock connector keep holding the home and it will go into recovery
