  • I'd like to go inside the Gherkin myself but the risk of terrorist attacks is just too great.

  • can the public go to the top

  • @20cFilmWannabe Not any more, no, I dont think.

  • @gregvideo07 thats pretty crap but i suppose theres new bigger skyscrapers going up near it so..

  • is it free???

  • It was, but there are hardly ever chances to go up it, such a shame,

  • Personally, THE BEST BUILDING EVER!

    Architecture is just Superb

  • I was expecting the French to copy the gherkin where London goes Paris normally follows,

However for me the gherkin is just ok, as appose to brilliant.

  • @TheTowerBridgeFox

oh really ? an example ?

  • @TheTowerBridgeFox Public bicycle rental programme since 2007 in Paris, just copied in London.

  • @Cougniamama are you trying to suggest that Paris is actually better than London?

  • @jjok85 trying to suggest ? lol..not even try ..even a blind man could tell the difference

  • @jjok85 .... but i confess you that this magnificient dildo make me dream^^

  • Tour d2......france and spain hey, they're like the dumb kids in school that cant come up with their own ideas so they just rip off the smart kid's ideas - but do them badly. the REALLY stupid thing is that the rest of the world ARENT stupid, they will see what they've done and see the "poor-mans" gherkins for what they are - a rip off and a lack of creativity. is this what france and spain want to show the world?....because thats what they're doing....

  • that will never be as cool as the gherkin

  • I've always loved it/Soon,we'll have one in Paris La Défense, called "Tour D2"(its name will be changed). It will be between 160 & 180m high, just glass, and its shape is unique.I'm loving it already...Check it out folks!Take care.

  • me and my mate broke in there when the last floor was being made, both pissed out of our minds. i stole a huge lump hammer and a few industrial size bolts. the security was a fucking joke considering it wasnt too long after 9-11. it truly is some view.

  • it's got to be said, from the air it doesn't look nice compared to flashy new met's like NY, Toyko and Dubai. But it is getting modernised slowly, continually, but will never look new and flashy in any age. SO if you want that, sorry but London will never be your city. That's because London is a street city, the most fantastic array of history and architecture in any city, spread across medieval streets and down dark alleyways. It's not a dump from the ground, and best it's viewed that way.

  • The biggest teaflask ever...everything about the UK-London is sexy. Just like their women.

  • Move over Canary Warf and 30St Mary Axe and hello the London Bridge and the Bishopgate Tower (could someone reply if the Heron Tower is being built in London)

  • Yes, the Heron Tower is indeed being built in London, and the steel framework has now risen above street level.

  • Yes it is mate,I was in LDN 3 weeks ago,and it's getting very high, impressive!

  • this building is amazing, sadly i didnt get to go to the top:(

  • Great stuff. A beautiful building.

  • London looks so boring literally all lowrise. Can't wait to see what it will be like in 10 years time. Much better! Actually look as if its modern compared to a historic dump.

  • What hilarious music. Sounds like its straight out of a hugh grant romcom

  • lol agreed

  • There's going to be a viewing place at the top of the shard of glass on south bank that may be as popular as the london eye-shard of glass due to be completed in 2011

  • how can we go up there?

  • i SOOOOO want to go up there - thanks for sharing

  • en la cupula se observa un orificio..tiene algun cristal o solo es orificio?....

  • If I understand the question, the answer is I think, that no, the top is not open to the air !

  • oks...thanks....i think = you..are you architect?..or student?

  • Its an excellent building it really has lots of character. Would love to go to the top to see that view!

  • How do you get up there and what does it cost?

It looks like it could be a longer lived and more rewarding experience than going up the eye..

  • Read "about this video" For the answer !! Greg
