  • My name is Nicolas Garza But im only 14 So idk

  • My last name is Garza..... But i dont think i kno a "Nick Garza" but im srry for this dude :/

  • Oh my god! that's so sad...but how could a guy get drowned in campus?

  • I've never heard of this happening, it's kind of strange. I don't think people should be saying RIP yet, there's still hope.

  • RIP NICK

i go to Albuquerque academy, were Nick went so the news really hit home.

    We Miss You Nick!

  • RIP Nick.

To the Garza Family, so so sorry for your loss.

  • Those apathetic kids are real dicks.

  • GMA (4/28/08) talked about a serial killer of college males. About 40 linked by smiley face symbol left at drop site. Still in vestigating more victims that may be linked. One Mom said her son was taken by commerical van. I didn't get whether they thought more than one person involved.

  • so fucking sad..

  • Thanks for a real report. Parents should claim he was gay so the Feds would come into the case...

  • As far-fetched as it sounds I feel a woman professor/teacher who works at Middlebury College has something to do with his disappearance. I feel Nick was once

    a student of hers.

  • I just heard of this missing student for the first time on "The Line Up" 3/15. My heart aches for his family and college community.

    Prayers sent. Columbia, NC

  • this is my cousin and i and my family miss him a lot; we want him back safe. no one knows where he is. i just saw his little brother this weekend and he seemed really sad about all this we miss him and we want him.

  • ¥T

  • This is such a disturbing and unsettling incident. I continue to pray for Nick's family and friends as much as I do for my own. How can anyone just seemingly vanish from an incredibly secure and vigilant college campus? I couldn't bare to speculate on what happened to Nick; we all have to believe that somehow, God will deliver him to us soon and that he will come home safely. God bless Nick, his friends and family.

  • I agree Mikester. Its really sad that assholes like "bokesnmokes" have no heart and obviously never watch the news. I feel for Nick's family and pray for his safe return home everyday. As a Vermonter, I know that things like this just don't happen here. Maybe in other parts of the country, but not in Vermont. It's just so sad.

For anyone out there who thinks this is a a prank or scam or joke...

    YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO HEART!

Nick, come back to your family!!! They miss you and love you!

  • This is a true, tragic story. Clearly comments need to be disabled

  • was anybody mad at him? or did he owe anybody

  • God Bless You

  • he graduated high school where i go to school. this is totally real, and frightening

  • I know how this feels, last year we had a student go missing in January, he was found after spring break, about 50 feet from where he was last seen in an electrical control room no one bothered to check because it was assumed it was lock. It turned out the likely electrocuted himself while trying to get into the building to get his coat from a friends dorm.

  • Was he a political activist? Concerned about our country?

    What is his background?

  • How can I download this video???

  • This unfortunately is not a joke. I went to Middlebury and we have all been incredibly worried about Nick.

  • is this a joke? if its true..he was probably abducted or some shit..but i dunno man.. sad really

  • Just google Missing Middlebury Student and you will know this is no prank.

  • No it's not a prank, I live close to Middlebury and I go there all the time, my brother lives there, and I have the news article. It does show the news article in this clip as well. This kid is missing, srsly.

  • GOOD OBSERVATION u r hired on the interpol

  • where in this video did they interview Nick's "Friends"? The interviewed random students on campus, but none of his friends. At what time are they "all smiley"?

How many VIDEO stories have you seen where they show newspaper articles?

I get it now! In order for any NEWS station VIDEO report, they must meet your standard of credibility by showing a newspaper article somewhere in the clip.

I will be sure to pass along that information on to Dan Rather, Katie Couric, and Tom Brokaw.

  • If you think it's a prank than you havn't been watching the news. I live about an hour's drive from vermont and watch Ch 3,5, & 22 a lot. This ain't no prank. But what i havn't seen is A. search dogs, and B. if they could only put their trust into a psychic, a real one (not J.L. Hewitt or P. Arquette {sp}) they might actually get a REAL CLUE as to where to start searching.

p.s. As painful as it is to lose someone, be it to sickness or accident, there's nothing as painful as NOT KNOWING!

  • Nice work, Columbo. In the time it took you to post your brilliant conclusion you could've Googled "Nick Garza" and seen that this story is sadly true.

For those who are wondering, part of what makes this case so disturbing is that Nick is an incredibly smart, responsible kid. No drugs, no enemies, no criminal/disciplinary history, close to his family, and NOT A DRUNK PARTIER despite what that awful sensationalistic ABC story implied.

  • After reading your response I followed your advice and googled the man's name and discovered I was wrong. It is not a prank and I apologize for hurting the feelings of people who care about Nick.

I literally just listened to the first few seconds and rushed to judgment based on the 'Blair Witch' production values. I violated one of my core principals by assuming rather than investigating.

  • Holy mackerel. I'm really surprised and impressed by your response, bokesnmokes. Sometimes it seems like honor, humility, and humanity don't exist in the anonymous online environment -thank you for demonstrating that they do.

As for the production value: Eva is the videographer for the website of a printed newsweekly (SevenDays). She doesn't have any crew, staff, or studio; just her camera, editing software, and tight deadlines. I think she does an amazing job despite these limitations.

  • True. The SevenDays video is excellent. The only improvment I can think of would be video of the campus dumpsters and maybe a landfill.

  • My family prays for you! From Kenedy, Texas

  • What's happening in American Universities? Poor us college kids :(, we have to live with fear of killers and now kidnappers...great!

  • Hope all turns out well.

  • dang man thats horrible i hope he gets found and i will refer others to this video

  • i will keep him and his family in prayer.

    from new york.

  • Yes. Good luck!

I hope he gets found. Thats horrible

  • This almost seems unreal.

  • man i hope these ppl find thid kid i feel really bad for his family good luck :(
