  • Hi, Good video. I understand why you would use semolina in the chambers of a black powder revolver. But why do you use it in a muzzle loading pistol when the ball will seat onto the charge and there is no void to fill? I am due to collect a Le Page and I want to understand it. Your accuracy is impressive!

    Thank you Regards Richard.

  • @Dickymint66 The corn semolina is used as a buffer to avoid direct contact between the black powder load and the lead ball and to help, as a micro-abrasive, clean the barrel - and that is a principle valid for any muzzleloader - pistol, revolve or rifle. On the revolver an additional layer is used *on top* of the lead ball - a layer made of Vaseline (or similar) to avoid potencial risks of chain firing due to multiple loaded chambers.

  • would this be in Belgium? what's the price?

  • where did you buy that divide perdersoli from? Really need to find a distributor. Also why did you put in corn semolina?

  • what was the other powder type you place in the barrel?

  • @fishblade2 first load is black powder, second load is corn semolina. The semolina works as a buffer and as a micro-abrasive barrel cleaner as you shoot

  • Great Video ! I want to buy the Pedersoli LePage too but im not sure atm if

    .36 or .44

  • @Sakuxxx1x For competition I would go for .36, less recoil, easier to control and great precision.

  • @pereiramateus which ball diameter and patch thickness you´re using ?

  • @Sakuxxx1x ... on the .36 caliber Billinghurst I'm using a 0,354 ball diameter with 0,24mm thickness, 24mm diameter cotton patch.

  • @pereiramateus with these types of guns I know with black powder revolvers you get a ball bigger than the caliber but with these guns you do you buy balls smaller than the caliber because of the patch?

  • @fishblade2 yes
