  • HI IM GAY TOO LIKE THE SPANKER IN THE AD,

  • The Gurus always put a smile on my face! Ya can't help but love 'em.

  • Ah, Aussie rock. All about down to earth stuff. Love, hate, breakups, lifes challenges, and the Gurus and other Aussie bands got into our minds and souls with thier music. Hearing these years later takes us back to what we were doing when we first heard them.

  • pra fechar o bloco australiano: hoodoo gurus adoooro,,,

  • I am surprised Hollywood has not spoiled this song by putting it in every stupid movie they can.

  • @tjsbigidea lol good point there, sounds like it would be one of those end credits songs or a flashback montag

  • Damn, what I'd give to see that double bill!

  • these guys remind me of the Smithereens, tasty four-man band guitar rock, except the Gurus are positive and the Smithereens are negative in outlook

  • What a great band! I totally missed them in the 8o's! funny that I remember hearing them on the radio and couldn't find out who they were. Thanks so much for posting this music! I am now a dedicated Hoodoo fan!!!

  • check out the serial killer van at 0:14

  • @nerdflanders8710

    Takes one to know one

  • @nerdflanders8710

lol@you sititng at your computer making comments about the singer of a successful rock band. I find that amusing.

  • @nzoz1987 . Good one.

  • @allanxxx99 thank you

  • @nzoz1987 yeah but hes a feral cunt, even acdc look a few million years more evolved.

  • @nzoz1987 pfft they are hardly sucessful as acdc or INXS or that great aussie band crowded house. these guys are entry level.

  • @nzoz1987 Its nice to see you putting annoying people with nothing intelligent to say back in their respective places. What does one gain by making fun of someone's haircut anyways?

  • @nzoz1987 ... couldn't agree more. ... I'm sure with all the success and money he's made he's really cut up by that remark. Lol

  • @nzoz1987 ...couldn't agree more nzoz1987. I'm sure with all the success and money he's made he's really cut up by a comment like that. Lol

  • @nerdflanders8710 I have the same haircut

  • @nerdflanders8710

    aussie rock ya wanker

  • @poby71 geee you sound evolved.

  • I saw them in 89'. What a show that was! Their music takes me back to some really good times.

  • Ahhh.. college mid-80s in Jersey ! Loved the "Goodie Ga-gooroos"! (Tom from Jersey City used to call them that!)

  • That's Dave's mic. It says so.

  • lovely. lyons carnival club rules! i see will rigby from the dB's! and skeggie!

  • omg!!! THANKS for posting this!!!! i love it!!!

  • this song reminds me of a road trip i had with 3 of the best lads you could ever meet. The Highlands of Scotland did not know what hit them that week;-)

  • cheers...to those who were at the hoodoos concerts in the 80s ...what a blast ...

best live band !! sooo much fun

  • This was about around the time Susanna was doing her movie the Allnighter. This was also the time Vicki Micky and Debbie did that funny interview on MTV with the Hoodoo Gurus during marti gra, but they referred to it as NARLY gra. LOL, funny stuff

  • good times...great bands..

  • So tell! You boink the Bangles? They're gorgeous!!! Gurus Forever!

  • the perfect ambassadors for Australia at the New Orleans Mardi Gras. Am surprised they made it back.

  • Straight up great. Plain and simple, the Hoodoo Gurus make great music. I never fail to be impressed with their songs.

  • @smegweevil spot on

  • All the bangles are beautiful, specialy Michael. I love her.

  • @LeonelAuzaTV You can't miss Michael, especially with the flaming red hair.

  • @LeonelAuzaTV You and me both- Michael is the one!!

  • On Ya Hoodoo Gurus We Live in hope

  • where is Susanna?

  • She's there ... they just forgot to get her a high chair.

  • @nzoz1987 LOL!!

  • Yeah, go the Bangles !

  • I've been to plenty of Gurus concerts, and a crowd request in Bunbury, West Australia for "Good Times" was booed down, to the amusement of the band! I really wanted to hear them play it, and at the reunion concert at Gloucester Park, Perth 2005 (?) they finally played it, and it was awesome! It's not aligned with their current sound, but who cares? Wish The Bangles were there too!

  • Are you kidding? One of their best songs!

  • One of my favorite shows was the HooDoo Gurus opening for The Bangles in Richmond, VA....circa 1985

  • @Richpd I was at that show as well.

  • brad shepherd is my dads cousion . lol

  • Comment removed

  • great lead vocals

  • When I was a teenager my cousin used to listen to these guys. This song was the only one of theirs I could actually listen to and sorta enjoy...ironically it was his least liked of all by this group (he felt it was too "pop-like")

  • Maybe so but a great song in my humble opinion!! Go Gurus, from Yakima, WA. USA!!!!!

  • Makes sense to me. They have so many great songs. Stoneage Romeos, Mars Needs Guitar, Blow your cool, are their best albums. I did like KINKY TOO.

  • How about Magnum Cum Louder??

  • to think they had The Bangles as back up singers for this

  • Yep. They are credited with backup vox on this track. It's pretty obvious who's singing when they repeat "times we had".

  • i saw them live at the play pen in cairns , what a great entertaining band

  • Thats a Hit!

  • I thought I recognized the Peterson sisters and Michael Steel of the Bangles. I saw that tour and it was simply fabulous. If memory serves me, Ms. Steel was romantically linked to one of the Gurus, but I don't know who but he was one lucky bloke. I went to 9 Mardi Gras during late '80s and early '90s. . it's freaky to think that our paths might have crossed in the world's most decadent party city. Great times indeed.

  • I don't any of the names of the Bangles, but Brad Shepherd (lead guitarist) was banging the bass player.

  • Michael Steele (the Bangles bassist) was dating Brad at this time

  • I thought Vicki dated him,..and also thought Michael was an Out Lesbian,..last I heard

  • @BeccaGSD Never heard that one, oh dear...

  • Sorry Michael did date hime then, but the aforementioned is current from what I have heard. I cannot say a source (not that a name you dont know would really mean anything) but its well known Michael was always Bi, and now is what it is.

May I ask why the reply of " oh dear"?? crapple009?

  • I'm not ruling this out, but what's your source?

  • @rufus102 eloquent way of putting it :/

  • Simply da best show I saw!

  • Thanks for posting this video. What a great band. I wish they would have had more success. I saw them in 89',awesome show. This brings back great memories from college. Put a smile on my face today. Thanks!!
