As Romans 1 says that men will seek other men once they have sucumbed to the evil in their hearts. So once you have God in your heart those evil desires will start to leave. Don't hate them. A few weeks ago, I thought my town was the most perfect town in the world, and I had no idea that so many people were doing drugs here. I want to say to anyone currently struggling with drugs that no matter what you're issues are, God is SO much bigger. God is also the most powerful addiction. He makes you feel wonderful without the major low, because it never wears off. God is always looking for you! HE LOVES YOU!! :)

Some of my relatives are missionaries to Honduras, and a few months ago they were allowed into the Indian Pech village to preach the gospel. These people have allowed no outsiders in a very long time, and so it was a miracle that they were allowed in. These people have never heard the gospel, and just a few days ago, 41 children and one 99 year old woman were saved. That night, they were invited back to preach to the adults. God's blessings and grace is truly never ending.

I hate this song. It says if you don't sacrifice 100% percent of yourselff to others, you are a selfish bastard. You should, and need to help others, but if you ingnore yourself completely, it causes major problems. A mindset of "I am so selfish because I don't give everything away" can cause self-esteem problems, even suicide.

Remember also the parable of the vineyard owner who paid the first workers the amount he promised them and paid the guys he hired last the same amount. It is a representation of Jesus offering forgiveness even to those who repent on their death beds with the same love and forgiveness as he shows us who come to him earlier. No sin is greater than another; every sin=death. So when you tell lies or gossip, that sin equals the same as murder. God cannot allow sin in His Presence.

Yes Homosexuality goes against God. He says it's an abomination to him. Yes you will go to hell if you are a homosexual, unless you repent of your sin and come to Jesus. Just like murder is a sin homosexuality is a sin.
We should still love and be kind to homosexuals though, hate the sin not the sinner. :)

And a gay man will NOT go to hell for being gay if he is a believer (the only criteria). We all die with sin on us. Threatening someone with hell does not win them over and in fact does more to turn them away. The bible tells us to not let our freedoms become stumbling blocks for others, so be careful how you say things.
You can have homosexual desires, and still be a Christian, as long as you don't participate in the homosexual lifestyle. We all struggle with certain sins in our life. But a man cannot routinely have sex with other men and still be a Christian. That's like a murderer who goes out and murders people, and still claims to be Christian. When you become a Christian, you do to things, confess Jesus as your savior and Lord, and repent of your sins. That includes homosexuality.

When you bring Chirst into your heart, you have an undeniable desire to become a better person, to be more Christlike, and to be set apart from the secular world. But you do not become Christ. You do not, suddenly, lose your abilitly to sin. If a gay man continued to struggle with his faith and with his sexual life, it would be between him and God and not for us to judge.

Yes, I think some people are born with the predisposition to be that way. Some studies show that children who don't have a father figure in their lives grow up that way. It is very sad. :(

Some of my relatives are missionaries to Honduras, and a few months ago they were allowed into the Indian Pech village to preach the gospel. These people have allowed no outsiders in a very long time, and so it was a miracle that they were allowed in. These people have never heard the gospel, and just a few days ago, 41 children and one 99 year old woman were saved. That night, they were invited back to preach to the adults. God's blessings and grace is truly never ending.

I hate this song. It says if you don't sacrifice 100% percent of yourselff to others, you are a selfish bastard. You should, and need to help others, but if you ingnore yourself completely, it causes major problems. A mindset of "I am so selfish because I don't give everything away" can cause self-esteem problems, even suicide.

@skilletroks91 We all fall from our faith, we just have to trust God that He will bring us back. Pray and ask God to bring you back to Him, and invite Him into your heart again. A couple months ago, I had the same problem, I felt like I was falling from faith and God wasn't listening. But He showed me that the only one who wasn't listening or seeking was I. I'll pray for you, brother.

Remember also the parable of the vineyard owner who paid the first workers the amount he promised them and paid the guys he hired last the same amount. It is a representation of Jesus offering forgiveness even to those who repent on their death beds with the same love and forgiveness as he shows us who come to him earlier. No sin is greater than another; every sin=death. So when you tell lies or gossip, that sin equals the same as murder. God cannot allow sin in His Presence.

as someone who is always close to being homeless. this song is very touching. not all of us in this position are drug addicts or drunks. yet Jesus died for them to. I am praying about a leading to minister to the homeless as someone who is close to it I know the church has no room for me. I have been a believer for a long time.I want to be part of the solution not the problem

Yes Homosexuality goes against God. He says it's an abomination to him. Yes you will go to hell if you are a homosexual, unless you repent of your sin and come to Jesus. Just like murder is a sin homosexuality is a sin.
We should still love and be kind to homosexuals though, hate the sin not the sinner. :)

In fact, God hates homosexuality so much that back then when Israel was under Mosaic law, people who had sex with someone of the same gender were stoned to death. Luckily, we are not under that law anymore. :)

@SkittlesWithFeathers This kind of wording and tone is just not very nice. Homosexual sex is no greater a sin than premarital sex or extramarital sex. And a gay man will NOT go to hell for being gay if he is a believer (the only criteria). We all die with sin on us. Threatening someone with hell does not win them over and in fact does more to turn them away. The bible tells us to not let our freedoms become stumbling blocks for others, so be careful how you say things.

You can have homosexual desires, and still be a Christian, as long as you don't participate in the homosexual lifestyle. We all struggle with certain sins in our life. But a man cannot routinely have sex with other men and still be a Christian. That's like a murderer who goes out and murders people, and still claims to be Christian. When you become a Christian, you do to things, confess Jesus as your savior and Lord, and repent of your sins. That includes homosexuality.

When you bring Chirst into your heart, you have an undeniable desire to become a better person, to be more Christlike, and to be set apart from the secular world. But you do not become Christ. You do not, suddenly, lose your abilitly to sin. If a gay man continued to struggle with his faith and with his sexual life, it would be between him and God and not for us to judge.

I'm just saying we'll have a better chance at getting the Good News through to certain groups of people if we don't come at them with a "you better change or you're going to hell" attitude. Honestly I believe most are born that way (a biological cause, aka birth defect) and what a terrible pain and ache it must be to live a life of constant restraint in the area of sexual desire which is wired so strongly in us.

Yes, I think some people are born with the predisposition to be that way. Some studies show that children who don't have a father figure in their lives grow up that way. It is very sad. :(
