  • this is somthing i would like to do! call if you need a house nigger

  • @bonrhead could surely do with a cleaning lady :)

  • wow

  • it sucks that im to young to go off the grid,i could but people would think i ran away and would be back in 2 minutes.

  • @TheWallie2k , well, why not start educating yourself about every aspect of living off the grid, ie: solar, wind, materials, costs. that way when you can do something you'll have all this knowledge ready to put into action. good luck to you :)

  • @keenmarketer thanks

  • @keenmarketer That's exactly what I'm doing. It's hard though because I have no background in carpentry, building or engineering.

  • @TheWallie2k Get into scouting now. Trust me on this one - this knowledge will come in very handy in the future.

  • This loks great, im 22, and cant live in this "society" the way it is, so im gonna go off grid. I was wondering, do you hunt your food?

  • @selfmadeboys88 We do hunt for some of our food but not as much as we could since we have access to hormone free beef and pork and free run eggs.

We find that we are always wanting to refine our solar and wind system to get better results. At the moment we are adding another wind mill and using a tower that will be about 40 ft higher. That should do much better:)

  • @keenmarketer well it all looks and sounds amazing, thanks!

  • Hello liked Your video.... Please take a look at My high end log art designs and creations maybe We can work together. Thanks John

  • You cut a lot less wood to stay warm in an earthship and you're still off the grid... We have the technology, living off the grid doesnt have to mean skimping or living barebones or working really hard.... Check out Earthships ! ! ! !

  • @Jeremysezsmile earthship? will check this out. Thanks

  • Thanks @neuroleptika We do love living an environmentally safe life. Although I must say that I am getting a little tired of cutting my own wood to stay warm in the winter. This year has been especially cold. brrrrrr

  • @keenmarketer build automatic wood cutter/splitter? fell a tree, put a heavy steel cone on the cut end, the cone gets pulled to the house with a winch, and into the cutter...

  • Thats a beautiful house...greetings from Sweden

  • WOW! Sir, you are living the life! I hope I can follow your footsteps someday.

  • @iyBesao Thanks. We love it too, but are considering living South for the winter. Cutting wood to heat with every year is starting to get old. :)

  • congratulations. this is a dream of mine i hope to accomplish someday.

  • @foxhanson Thanks. I do know one thing. It's a hell of a lot of work!

  • We need to get back to more of a bartering money system and get away from the spell that the federal reserve is producing. We need to grow organic non-gmo foods in our backyards and neighborhoods. We need to quit spending our energy for the military industrial complex to make governments weapons, instead we should use this energy for clean nonflourided water. Secret societies should be banned from all positions of power and authority. Criminals run the world, put them in their jails! -OneLove!

  • You couldn't have said it any better.

  • sounds lovely but we would be attacked and conquered over night. You would be a literal slave inside of 1 year.Wish it could be but it never can.

  • I love Lincoln Logs

  • thanks for the ideas. Its unlikely i'll get the go ahead for an eco home. spoke to my council earlier last week. seems anything out of the ordinary is not going to get approved. shame were all expected to live vanilla lives. thanks for the online idea. i'll definately do that once i've established my garden.

  • hi i'm thinking of building an eco friendly home next year and i would also love to become self efficient like yourself. my goal is to live off the grid like yourself and make money from doing what i love; cooking and gardening (selling food (raw, cooked, pickled you name it and plants and seeds). i'm a trainned chef and cake decorated so i may even offer courses based on seasonal cooking. your house is amazing and inspirational.

  • Amy, what a great idea for you to sell your cooking services and home made goodies. Ever think of going online with your concept and have an income stream from there too? It's very doable and could allow more free time to do all the things you really want.

  • Outstanding! Do you have Hot water? How do you have a toilet inside now? Curious if its on city sewer now in some way?

  • Thanks. We live totally independent of any services. Have composting toilet which feeds our garden in summer.
