Fly Fishing Little Truckee River with Sean 5-8-11

Try fishing your indicator much like a dry fly, fish up stream and strip in line as it comes down river to you. Watch the indicator very closely and set the hook with a downstream sweeping motion. Try to make a long enough cast to let the flies sink to the bottom, and if you are in turbulent water such as this use a large split shot no more than a foot from flies. You will nail them with that method. One more thing, keep the rod tip high and keep as much fly line off of the water as possible.
