@TheRealCP13 Yao Ming doesn't have gigantism. Gheorghe Muresan had a pituitary disorder, but Yao Ming (and Manute Bol) are both tall because of their genetics.
And yes, Yao Ming's 24 inch vertical is incredibly impressive. He's a 7'6, 315lb man who jumps higher than the average person. If you've seen insanely tall players play (in any level of basketball), they're extremely immobile. Yao Ming is the opposite of that.

@TheRealCP13 Lmao. For one, what made Yao was the best center in the NBA in his prime. What made him so great were legs capable of supporting a 7'6, 315lb human being. Besides, Yao's vertical is around 23-24 inches. Ridiculous for someone at that height. If you don't believe me, you can see pictures of Yao's head on the bottom of the backboard (which is 9'6 off the ground or 24 inches from Yao's head).
