People like Jack Thompson should understand that videogames don't make people do things such as school shootings). I am 13 yrs old (going to be 14 this Friday). Ever since I was 8 i've played violent games like Halo because my parents thought that I was very mature. 95 percent of the games I own are rated Mature. It's not the video game industry's fault that some people decide that it's cool to kill other people. It's either because of the kid's experience w/parents school and mental issues.

i own a copy of cs and if anything it just makes me frustrated and makes my heart rate go UP, not fricking down. its CS not assasin's creed. how can a 40+ year old guy whos never played a game in his life make ANY sort of judgement on what games do to people. pointing and clicking your mouse at 3d models on a screen which look like people hardly turns you into a fully trained navy seal.

I find it interesting how he never mentions the shooters parents or any other shooters parents. It seems that it hasn't occured to him that the parents or are the cause of the emotional distress. Lots fo people play violent video games, and of course practically nobody uses it as training to kill people. If anything, I think, violent video games allow people to vent anger in a safe and constuctive way.
