can someone plz plz plz tell the davies bros to COME BACK TO GOOD OLD ENGLAND
all the british bands r over there
so what if u guys got good weather and polite people
our bad weather and nasty unforgiving pessimistic people inspired them for most of their songs and america banned em from touring for like 20 years or more
@jamreaper Uh ..... wrong. America banned them for 4 years. Which isn't quite 20. It was BS, either way. And it was our loss! Long live Ray & the Kinks!
Does anybody know about when this was recorded? There was a reference to 1998 but it wasn't entirely clear whether that was referring to the interview.
I was lucky enough to have Dave sign my copy of his book after he performed at Boodle's Opera House in Orange County, N.Y. I have a bootleg recording of the show. Great stuff. God save the KINKS.
Hi Boxfitter I've been a huge Kinks/Dave fan for years, when was Dave at Boodles? I take my kids to clayton delaney's across the street all the time! He sounds lovely, both from his humor in the book and from various interviews I've seen.
The interviewer is a bit hyper. But judging from the fact that it's early morning and Dave's 'wild child' antics in the Sixties he seems lovely, not to mention articulate.
i lucked out and a friend gave me his copy...absolutely wonderful book. i've read it 3 times. if you can find it...grab it! I love Dave and hope he's doing good/better now.

Damn, I didn't date the cassette box so I'll have to dig out my ticket stub. It was around 1998 or so, during his Kronikles tour.

This woman is a completely DUMB COW, but Dave is a sheer DELIGHT:sweet, genuine and endearingly vulnerable..and a TRUELY BRILLIANT guitarist!

Great interview, Dave is so unprofessional, i.e. himself and very normal and the interviewer so OTT.
Dave is a real fidget and talk about plugging!
Just love his soporific voice though and love the dig about 'how fascinating for you' when she talked about interviewing Ray.
A real gem...

You should have done a LOT more television, Dave, this interview is great!
