@larxene12 the ride operator cant control it. Its all done automaticly by the touch of a button. The only time when this rode can be done manually is by the mechanics to get the ride down when it brakes down or is stuck etc. And just take into consideration that this ride was made in 1993 and stil going today. You think this ride operator sucks watch the tidal wave at flamingo land. Then go cry.

They had a mechanical shark at first, but then some kids shoe fell off during a ride and the shark apparantly "ate it" so the shark was removed. Then because of the countless amounts of puking and it landing into the water, the water was then removed too. Thats all I know, the shark was from when they first built the ride.

I was wondering why they removed the shark! It was so awesome! Even though you know its mechanical, sometimes the ride would slam you face first toward it and you freak out a little.

I wish they can bring it back!

Reasons why this is the best ride at dreamowrld ...

1. It's awesome fun

2. The ride's cycle is very long

3. There are no long queues (you pretty much line up and get on after the ride stops.)

4. It has good scenery (especially when they had the water and the shark there)

totally agree. it hold 40 people ride goes for long, beautiful scenery no long ques when i went in april as soon as i got ogg rejoined the short que and got on again. I went on this 18 times in 1 day! Claw is my next favourite. But this ride is the best in the world!

they have two little bridge type things on the side attached to the surf boards that moving inward to attahc to the side of the gondola, thats how, the shark wouldnt get them at all, they would rescue them by jumping over the fence, its a robotic shark anyways, so dont worry.
