Silver is from the future and finds out the trigger of the Flames of disaster comes from Sonic and wants to kill him. Or something like that. I lost patience with Sonic '06.

@Nintendoforever Actually it gets worse, there's this evil shadow lookalike called Mephiles who's trying to combine with Iblis (flames of disaster's other half) to form Solaris, which is some world ender thingy. He's actually the iblis trigger (as silver puts it)

At the end, Mephiles actually manages to kill sonic and create solaris and you do a pretty annoying level to revive sonic then fight solaris as super sonic, shadow and silver.

Am I the only one who didn't mind Sonic 06 too much. The load times and glitches were awful, sure. But the moments in Crisis City really stood out to me. I take Sonic 06 as a story-driven experience. Now, Sonic is more action than story, but this game tried to do something different. Have characters that are relate-able, believable, and a lot of cinematic moments like the tornado. It was a step in the right direction, but two steps backward at the same time.

Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 tried being serious way too much, and ended having really stupid stories. Unleashed had a nice balance between the two, as well as the Adventure games.

I don't get it. Why does everybody whine and moan about Sonic 06, but nobody ever complains about Classic Sonic's old games. He had a few games WAY worse than 06.

Sonic Labyrinth, Robotnik's Mean Bean machine,Tails & the Music Maker, Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic's Schoolhouse (worst sonic game of all time), Sonic's Gameworld, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Chaos, Tails Skypatrol, Wacky Worlds Creativity Studio, and Sonic Blast.
