@greenskinorc in lotro this is like a lvl 50 raid boss and a very old one at that, the person soloing is either level 60-65 which give him a decent increase in b/p/e and Ceuta. In wow it would be like a lvl 60 going against a level 70.
You can solo raid bosses in Lotro? Wtf lol kind of beats the whole raid idea in a online game. You would be dead in 1, 2 or the most 3 hits if you tried pulling a raid boss in World of Warcraft just on ur own. Infact you cant even zone into the instance unless ur in a raid group. Still liked your vid tho. Its obvious u have some skill lol
Hey dude nice video! Erm...your said that a good thing for a captain is to have a shield....well yes that's my problem....my captain cannot wield a shield...I am only level 12 but I really wanted to use a shield! Please reply to me telling me how to use the shield.... any response will be appreciated...Thanks :)
I am a level 42 Captain (Byter on Nimrodel with the Windriders) & everything I hav read & leveled up w/ is that a captain should b using a 2-hander if at all possible. The reason 4 this is we can't dual wield so getting the battle over w/ is the key - that means avoiding vitality b/c it is a weak stat, u can have 100 vitality but die just as quickly b/c you can't evade or parry. If you have questions still, mail Byter within the game on the Nimrodel Server - I will b happy 2 hlp
@dallasmfark Although I agree with you that for the most part captains should use two handers, I think that using a sword and board might have been the best in this situation. There is no way you can take down Bogbereth quickly and it was far more important for him to survive and take a reasonable amount of damage while rallying cry and muster courage reset.
Hey! Really enjoyed your video! Been playing my captain and have started leveling him up lately, have gotten to higher end material, and I've been looking for a challenge; which to me, means going out of my way to try and solo whatever i can :P
I can tell you im not all that good. Perhaps you can reply; or send me a comment with any advice? Or perhaps the process/skills you used to do this encounter; or mark used and trait build?
@PwningWithRonin Staying alive is key, not dps. Ideally you want a shield, a weapon with +targets to pressing attack, an emblem with reduced CD on rallying cry, armour with on-defeat skills cooldown reduction and over-all a chanse to mitigate a bit of extra common dmg and/or a chanse to proc a heal on hit (it helps a Lot versus many small enemies and is the reason I absorb so much dmg in the video). Make sure you have renewed voice and now for wrath in your traits, the rest I don't remember. =)
@ShiddyBiscuit if you want a warrior DPS play Champion, or a Warrior tank play Guardian. Captain are support class like buff, some heal, medium tank and medium dps. wish it help you.
Did you take the head? If you take it to the Taxidermist in Bree, It makes an awesome trophy.
