The reason of the mistakes in the subtitles (as a commenter pointed out) is that I found this interview as an extra on the hungarian edition of "House on the Edge of the Park", and my italian is very mediocre, so I had to translate the hungarian subtitles...that means it's a "double translation" which of course leads to more inaccuracy.
@theownshow actually normal people get famous.. u dont really need talent to get famous. but yea normal people r shit but then again people who just wants to get famous r shit.
Ne lui ne l'intervistatore sono molto loquaci, potevano trovarne uno che conoscesse meglio l'Italiano. Peccato, un intervista piuttosto sprecata, considero Deodato un grande regista e adoro i suoi film.
Now i don't understand people hating him, i mean yes the animal crutley in his cult classic Cannibal Holocaust is bad. but well they used real animal bones in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and sick shit in Last house on the left, so like this guy is a legend he made the horror genre get a scare with his stuff. He's cool and very hearted guy in real life.
Check out interview with Ruggero Deodato shot at Grossmann Film & Wine Festival 2009. Lot of interresting stuff - anegdotes from set, about working with legends like Riccardo Freda, about upcoming projects (including "Cannibals" and Italian Masters Of Horror project), real reasons for animal killings in Cannibal Holocaust and many more very interresting stuff.

People are fucking hypocrites. I'm going to slap the next non-vegetarian who complains of animal cruelty.

The director of Cannibal Holocaust thought a script was too violent? "I make violent movies but softer ones"... really?
