Yo eds u seem like a pretty straight forward guy. So I have a question. Im gettin a boss audio 15 1800peak 900rms. Im gonna run it off if a 1000 watt amp in a custom ported box. Will it be pretty loud?

@lablue350 - Yea 2 DC 5ks should do nicely on those! I'm not sure how many batteries you need man, depends on what size you go for. For 10k of power you should aim for about 600-700ah oh battery reserve IMO unless you get a very strong charging system :)

@aross414 - Thanks a lot man :)  Just make sure you build your box damn strong, if you think it's strong enough then make it even stronger! Also tune it fairly low, make sure youre charging system is good then you should be loving it!! It was recorded on my friends Canon D90 camera, takes awesome videos!

@bryan2f2f - This design is a rear ported tunnel, some people get it confused with a 6th order bandpass but it's not. The front chamber is totally open so therefore it is not a 6th order, ported tunnels are a very efficient design, mine plays nearly flat from 25hz - 80hz!!

The XL's are some damn good woofers, you will be very happy, just make sure you build the box like a tank :-)

@zerosktr111 - Hey dude it's actually a rear ported tunnel, kind of like a 6th order but not. It only has 4.5 cubes per 18" so we were surprised it peaks at 25 but I think thats because the front cabin is large.. Either way it shifts lots of air!! Broke the windshield again yesterday too :(

@lambofgood91 - Hey dude sorry the guy who helped me design the tunnel can't find the file as he did it on a laptop and it won't turn on at the moment!

This design isn't actually a 6th order or a 4th order, it's a rear ported tunnel, very efficient and as I said to someone else it can play pretty flat from 25hz - 80hz, sounds great on all types of music, punches you in the chest with michael jackson then can play chopped + screwed all day and make the doors break.. Best of both worlds!
