I don't get it why everyone does the same old, safe, boring, and dry interpretations of bible stories. These stories have moved and touched millions, yet no one thinks of adding flavor and fresh perspectives to them. To kids, who are used to more "flash" on tv, these stories seem boring. The angel appeared to Joseph, primarily to confirm that he was doing the right thing if he didn't put Mary away. Joseph was an honourable man, obviously and the Lord blessed him with this confirmation. Oh yes, I'm amused by this, I must say. It's a low-budget film but has the same Veggie Tales type quality of humor in Biblical tales. Those Arabic stereotypes in the wise men are less than flattering.
