  • I have been flying RC and Ultralights for over 25 years. This radial has much better life than the engines I am flying now. The current engine that I have on my plane only has a 250 hour life before overhaul. 500-700 hours would be a big improvement. I have 3 airframes (Weedhopper, Legal Eagle, MiniMax) right now that this engine would work perfectly on. Lighter, better life span and much more reliable than a 2 cycle. I would have no problem installing one tomorrow for flight testing.

  • +1 put it in a motorbike frame

  • One Hell of a Outdoor Fan!

  • could you use this on a gyro copter?

  • @brofun Hi, yes, it can be used on a toy gyrocopter though we do not endorse the use of any model (toy) engine for use in any type of manned vehicle. Model engines are not certified for manned use, and there is no insurance coverage for it.

  • that would suit my homebuilt full size!!

  • god damn why cant i have one in a car!!

  • id love to build this engine in a motorcycle.

only the valves need to be covered :)

  • Oh...Beautifull, Beautifull Motor.....:-) WOW....I would have used that on a Paraglider

if it didnt wieght that much !!?, but i think it is a overkill, even thou i love more power.

anyway beautifull engine..... :-) GOOD LUCK WITH IT...:-)

  • what model plane is this ever intended to go on?

  • model use! man

that can power a small Ultralight or Paraglider

i know i know its not safe for that application

    blah

  • That would go nice on a giant scale Stearman

  • Beautiful! Have the OS Sirius, but this is a monster model engine.

  • I love the sound of radial engines, they make this bubble popping noise at idle.

  • that sound is from any 4-stroke with a short exhaust stack.

  • how much

  • $10,000 USD

  • How many horse power is this rated at?

  • 48x22 at 3800rpm = approx 45hp and 225lb of thrust

  • @troybuiltmodels God dang that could fly an small ultralight.

  • Comment removed

  • drool

  • i love to build a motorcycle with this engine but it would need rocker covers and a good oil pump system

  • This would be awesome in a Hummlebird!!!

  • That would be awesome in a Gee Bee Y model

  • The engine weights 44LBS!!!....

IT would have to be a +50% model for

to be able to support that engine!...

  • WOW! for a model airplane engine that is fantastic. Now i know what the guy at the store was talking about when he said they sound real.

  • Holy crap!! and there I was thinking the moki 215 was a big radial!!!!!!!! Bloody beautiful!

  • Hey, what are you guys going to put that in?

  • This is for models 150 lbs to 250 lbs in total weight. We do not currently offer planes for this engine. It is for scratch built planes.

  • Is this rated for Experimental aircraft?

  • Hi, Thanks for the interest in the 800cc engine.

It is sold for model use only. We will check into the possibility in attaining certification for light aircraft if you have a need. Please contact us regarding your application.

  • hey there wot sort of reliable life do u get out of it

  • These engines are rated for intermittent model aircraft use only. Engine life will vary based on many factors, but typically 500-700 hours.
