@ProfMcRage I wouldn't agree with that. Just based off of the amount of people that listen to the music a lot of popular music has an "appealing sound." I think most people will agree Kanye West and lil Wayne are not talented musicians. Bands that have an appealing sound are the bands that know who they are and what they do well musically and build songs around that.

@Worthdyingfor1 yea but Matt is just the best overall musician by far in the band. He sings, shreds(rhythm and solos), screams the best and he writes all their lyrics. That's why this band can do songs like scream aim fire and do this as well. Just amazing musical talent. And all ya really need is one person like matt in the band to make it happen

If you go out of popular music and into classical or jazz you'll find groups of musicians 1000 times more talented than BFMV. And by the way BFMV isn't a super talented group by any stretch of the imagination, all of their stuff is beginner to intermediate level. They're nothing all that impressive, they just have an appealing sound.

Metallica did songs in like 4 different genres over the years'. I know now that Bullet's not a super group like I thought when I posted that but they're still very "appealing". I agree that jazz musicians are better technically, but jazz is difficult to listen to for a while I find. Just since every song FEELS the same.

I've liked some of their older stuff.... but this is so half-assed. No emotion in the piano, uninteresting riff, weird chord progression, no effort in the singing, and one of the harmonies in the chorus is out by a semitone, which hurts to hear.

No offence, but if I were them and I released this, I'd be embarrassed.

That said, if they just did it again more emotionally and really tried, and fixed that harmony etc it could be a very powerful and emotional song ^^

@ScopedKnife I agree the piano can be a lot better, but I enjoy that they didn't try to go all over-board as if this wasn't acoustic.

A lot of songs fail in their acoustic versions because they try to do too much with it. This is jus' a slower, more passionate version, and I think if the piano was a little better, it'd be perfect. Their normal version of this has all the energy.
