I hate when people dis him because they say "staying healthy is part of the game". I don't think cancer has anything to do with his ability to stay healthy and protect himself. I would have loved to see Gretz numbers missing a few years b/c of cancer and coming back from kemo...this is totally excluding the fact of his back pains

Very true. Gretzky always played on a fantastic team. If Mario hadn't got cancer, and had all of those back problems, and played on a fantastic team EVERY year, he might have had better stats then Gretzky.
