Oh, no... I just got an iPhone4s. I got it on the new Tmobile Full Monty Deal... One of the reasons behind this thinking is: I thought it might help me fall in love with my new MacBookPro, which i HATE!!! Poor battery life... doesn't allow me to use Final Cut Pro Studio 2, so in order to make the most of it, I have to shell out MORE cash! GGrrrr!! Apple, why be an arse and spoon feed us expensive work-around, like we idiots?!?!
Also, it has been proven that there are only a few things that are causing your poor battery life. Calendar Notifications was one, the "Setting Time Zone" Location Service was another. Sure, stupid that you have to go turn those off... but at least there is a fix, unlike my GN. 4S easily works for 2 full days for me, my GN doesn't make it through a workday, although I do work 11 hour shifts.
@shahinchannel Except that it doesn't have LTE in Canada, just 3G. A slightly larger screen shouldn't cause 25% of the life, from a larger battery to begin with. 1800 mAh vs 1420 mAh. So that argument makes no sense either.
In any case, facts are facts. I don't care much for biased opinions from either side. My phone is a tool, and I simply choose the most suited tool available at the time. I made a mistake with the GN, but I'll try something else when this phone is up.
I have the iPhone 4G ... I miss Siri - I used to have it until they released the 4S model. However....I really miss the customization that you can do with the Android phones - my battery life is fair, not great, not bad....I too have the issue with the "no service" message at the top of the screen - usually a reset fixes the issue - but really - APPLE.... IPHONE....Superior device? BS! I'm tossing up the idea of switching back to Android myself....
all smart phones are going to have horrible battery life......the new Samsung Galaxy Note battery life is 6 hours when its in full use. Thats something that comes with it with these powerful phones.

Ok for starters...take the wifi off your phone idiot. I had mine for over 3 months..no problems with antenna and battery. My phone last on standby for over 2 days without needing charging. Quit playing games...it will last longer...its a freaking phone for crying out loud.
I have no brand loyalty at all. I got a Galaxy Nexus but sold it after 6 weeks because it was so laggy all the time (just swiping on the main screens), native apps crashed, whites were grainy, darks were purple, and battery life on average use was about 6-12 hours. ICS has many, many flaws. Freezing during phone calls is unacceptable.
Bought a BNIB 4S 32GB for $50 less than I sold it for. Apple sure is far from perfect, and I have lots of gripes, but battery life for me is 30-60 hours.
@senecadream never had any issues with the phone and i got mine on lunch day. zero lag maybe you got a faulty unit.
true story when the iphone 4 was lunch, the next week i went out to buy one when i got home and open the box i notice the screen had dead pixels burns and the camera app dont work. These things happen its just you luck nothing is 100%
@mobitechreview You may be right, but it seems many others are having similar issues. The GN forums are littered with people trying to make the battery last a day at work, with light usage. It would help if ICS had white text on black background in most apps, since AMOLED uses more power for each white pixel. Many others noticing scrolling lag.
Perhaps Apple has problems, but at least I can walk in there, and walk out in 15 minutes with a brand new phone. I don't want to send it off somewhere.

Even just the way the browser app reloaded the pages every single time you changed tabs, just seconds apart. The speaker/ringer on the back, so it's pretty much muted in your pocket or on any soft surface.
Haven't found the perfect phone yet.. but it's just a phone.

I didnt send it back because it was 6 weeks old, and I would have had to wait several weeks to get it back. The software and hardware flaws would still exist (poor speaker placement, horrid battery life, purply blacks, grainy whites, browser constantly reloading for no reason, main apps with white backgrounds, etc).
Again, Apple isn't perfect, but for now it's the most suited to me.
i used i phone for a while and then i started with android . android is a million times better than ios ! for android u can do soooo many things that u cant do on iphones for example on androids u can custumize almost every feature in the phone, it is much easyer to restore if u forgote ur password/pin much easyer to accses any files that are on the phone its self and u can add an external micro sd card to get more memory on the phone on ios u can do anything that android can do! LIKE! THIS!!!!

Hi there, I have been with Android for two years and iPhone for three days and switch to Samsung Focus S Windows 7.5 Mango. Issue with Android is it is written in Java, that makes it slow. Fast only because of the LTE internet speed. My wife has the SGS II Sky Rocket and it heats up horribly. I have the iPhone for three days because it was slow and no signal at times. Try the Samsung Focus S, you would not regret it, or wait for the new HTC Titan II and/or Nokia Lumia 900 coming in a few weeks.

I don't have an iPhone but alot of my friends do. And they're always having issues with it. But they still keep it cuz it's an iphone. One on my friends went thru "3 iphones" in a 2 month period becuz of all issues she had with it. Love my Nokia alot! :)
@fermie125 I have the basic Nokia Nuron at the moment. I hear GREAT THINGS about the Lumia 710, thinking of upgrading to it. And I agree with you on the Windows OS for phone. HTC Radar Windows phone looks pretty sweet as well too. Can't decide which one I want to upgrade to.
@blu887 Personally, I like the Lumia 710 better than the HTC Radar. Both phones are spec'd almost identically (the one major difference being the Radar has a front facing camera and the Lumia doesn't), but the Lumia has some nice exclusive features such as free turn-by-turn voice navigation (Nokia Drive). Plus all Nokia Windows Phones are set to receive some timed-exclusive features in the future - I think 90 days before everyone else does. Both phones are really nice though.

Extendible storage - Firstly, iCloud, and if you need more than 64gb on a phone you need to cut down on your porn intake! iTunes? it's no different to any other music software + wireless syncing virtually makes your point redundant. Bluetooth sharing - who even uses bluetooth anymore, you can use all google docs etc on an iPhone. Do your research!

It has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I really like being able to extend my local storage because I hate paying for traffic. iTunes is just crap because it's about limiting the storage of your phone to certain formats. Bluetooth is still the fastest and easiest way for direct sharing between devices in the same area.

Limiting my phone to formats? I download music as mp3's, it then goes directly into iTunes - when do you ever need it in any other format? So all this comes down to is A) you like making your home screen messy and tacky in your own way and B) you like to share a song 3 times a year via bluetooth. Woop.
@autosmash Dude, seriously! Making your screen the way someone else likes it to be is a frustration the same as someone else parking your car or arranging your desk the way someone else feels like! Actually bluetooth transfers between devices works much better where signal is bad or you depend fully on 2G/3G to send/receive files from others via the Apple network. Bluetooth speed is 800 Kbps if this speaks something to you at all. On the other hand there's traffic charges and data plans.

@Auqamoose Sending your files to your phone is not file sharing. Sharing your files with your friends is sharing and you can't do it directly over bluetooth. You have to through your data plan and get charged for this. iTunes doesn't let you "share" all file formats so you can't really call it "sharing" from that prospective either.

I am and it takes the stupidity of one person to get hacked and agree on pairing with device so you can get hacked only if you give an pairing code away. The storage is not about movies, it's about all sorts of media formats. iTunes will only let you store certain formats on the phone that look good on the screen and sound well on the speakers. However you can't decide what formats to have there, Apple tell you what's good through iTunes...

I have the iPhone 4S and i love it, granted i will agree battery life could be alot better, signal drops (not often for me) but it still does it. and multitasking i don't like to much. But overall It still amuses enough for me to still like it. :)
I have a Samsung Focus which still to this day is one of the better WP7 phones out, aside from of course the Focus S and soon to be Nokia Lumia 900. I can't tell you how amazing this phone is. I, like a lot of people was quite skeptical of WP7 at first. I can honestly say that I was not on board initially with it. The game changer for me was using it. I can almost guarantee that every single person has an opinion on WP7 based on previous Mobile Windows platforms. Five words, IT IS NOT THE SAME.
@aranda120 lol, I personnaly loved WM6.5 (which is quite rare ;-) ) and I found WM7 too limitating and hard to crack (jaiblreak) I love to play with system values to get the best from my hardware (and to have some fun to) so Android conquered me from the time I installed it on my HD2 as an early BETA, I tried WM7 before and it's a great system, rock-stable and with a great interface, but it's just like iOS, it's too limited, the browser doesn't even allow user agent and the market is rubbish...

I have no brand loyalty at all. I got a Galaxy Nexus but sold it after 6 weeks because it was so laggy all the time (just swiping on the main screens), native apps crashed, whites were grainy, darks were purple, and battery life on average use was about 6-12 hours. ICS has many, many flaws. Freezing during phone calls is unacceptable.
Bought a BNIB 4S 32GB for $50 less than I sold it for. Apple sure is far from perfect, and I have lots of gripes, but battery life for me is 30-60 hours.

true story when the iphone 4 was lunch, the next week i went out to buy one when i got home and open the box i notice the screen had dead pixels burns and the camera app dont work. These things happen its just you luck nothing is 100%

@mobitechreview You may be right, but it seems many others are having similar issues. The GN forums are littered with people trying to make the battery last a day at work, with light usage. It would help if ICS had white text on black background in most apps, since AMOLED uses more power for each white pixel. Many others noticing scrolling lag.
Perhaps Apple has problems, but at least I can walk in there, and walk out in 15 minutes with a brand new phone. I don't want to send it off somewhere.

@mollexd Huh? I'm not saying one is better than the other. I hate the childish design of iOS, and Apple's mentality in general. I also dislike how small the screen is on the iphone. It's far from perfect, but my GN was far worse.
Even just the way the browser app reloaded the pages every single time you changed tabs, just seconds apart. The speaker/ringer on the back, so it's pretty much muted in your pocket or on any soft surface.
Haven't found the perfect phone yet.. but it's just a phone.

@mollexd By childish, I just meant the baby blue/green on white colour scheme. Anyways, no phone is perfect.
I didnt send it back because it was 6 weeks old, and I would have had to wait several weeks to get it back. The software and hardware flaws would still exist (poor speaker placement, horrid battery life, purply blacks, grainy whites, browser constantly reloading for no reason, main apps with white backgrounds, etc).
Again, Apple isn't perfect, but for now it's the most suited to me.

i used i phone for a while and then i started with android . android is a million times better than ios ! for android u can do soooo many things that u cant do on iphones for example on androids u can custumize almost every feature in the phone, it is much easyer to restore if u forgote ur password/pin much easyer to accses any files that are on the phone its self and u can add an external micro sd card to get more memory on the phone on ios u can do anything that android can do! Hi there, I have been with Android for two years and iPhone for three days and switch to Samsung Focus S Windows 7.5 Mango. Issue with Android is it is written in Java, that makes it slow. Fast only because of the LTE internet speed. My wife has the SGS II Sky Rocket and it heats up horribly. I have the iPhone for three days because it was slow and no signal at times. Try the Samsung Focus S, you would not regret it, or wait for the new HTC Titan II and/or Nokia Lumia 900 coming in a few weeks.

I don't have an iPhone but alot of my friends do. And they're always having issues with it. But they still keep it cuz it's an iphone. One on my friends went thru "3 iphones" in a 2 month period becuz of all issues she had with it. Love my Nokia alot! :)

@blu887 Personally, I like the Lumia 710 better than the HTC Radar. Both phones are spec'd almost identically (the one major difference being the Radar has a front facing camera and the Lumia doesn't), but the Lumia has some nice exclusive features such as free turn-by-turn voice navigation (Nokia Drive). Plus all Nokia Windows Phones are set to receive some timed-exclusive features in the future - I think 90 days before everyone else does. Both phones are really nice though.

It has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I really like being able to extend my local storage because I hate paying for traffic. iTunes is just crap because it's about limiting the storage of your phone to certain formats. Bluetooth is still the fastest and easiest way for direct sharing between devices in the same area.

@autosmash Dude, seriously! Making your screen the way someone else likes it to be is a frustration the same as someone else parking your car or arranging your desk the way someone else feels like! Actually bluetooth transfers between devices works much better where signal is bad or you depend fully on 2G/3G to send/receive files from others via the Apple network. Bluetooth speed is 800 Kbps if this speaks something to you at all. On the other hand there's traffic charges and data plans.

Oh and corrections, you can bluetooth share, iTunes already has all my media so it makes sense to use that, iTunes can also sync over Wifi so it syncs seamlessly. Calling iTunes crappy is your opinion and not applicable to eveyone. The only good point in your list is expandable storage.

@Auqamoose Sending your files to your phone is not file sharing. Sharing your files with your friends is sharing and you can't do it directly over bluetooth. You have to through your data plan and get charged for this. iTunes doesn't let you "share" all file formats so you can't really call it "sharing" from that prospective either.

I am and it takes the stupidity of one person to get hacked and agree on pairing with device so you can get hacked only if you give an pairing code away. The storage is not about movies, it's about all sorts of media formats. iTunes will only let you store certain formats on the phone that look good on the screen and sound well on the speakers. However you can't decide what formats to have there, Apple tell you what's good through iTunes...

I have a Samsung Focus which still to this day is one of the better WP7 phones out, aside from of course the Focus S and soon to be Nokia Lumia 900. I can't tell you how amazing this phone is. I, like a lot of people was quite skeptical of WP7 at first. I can honestly say that I was not on board initially with it. The game changer for me was using it. I can almost guarantee that every single person has an opinion on WP7 based on previous Mobile Windows platforms. Five words, IT IS NOT THE SAME.

Manufacturers launch their phones and few months later they dont give a fuck about them and dont update them with the latest version of android available.

Just because YOUR iphone doesn't work that well doesn't mean all iphones suck, I've had an Ipod Touch 1st gen for ages now and it still works like a charm, also Iphone 3g is still going, now I will buy the Iphone 4S and I bet it will work just as well!

You're obviously a nexus fanboy since that phone has many problems and bugs (like battery life, multitouch problems etc.) also only has a 5MP camera. Only an idiot would buy a nexus when he has the money for an iphone :) And yes I'm aware of the problems with the iPhone but I embrace them
