@GamesOplenty I'm pretty sure they're words it's just the site I used for the lyrics doesn't have them (I checked a few sites). Some translations from fandubs include "I cannot return" "Will you run away with me" and "There is no turning back".

If I find out the Japanese Romaji and/or an acurate English translation I'll update the video.

Not really (cough Elfen Lied). but it is quite freaky and a good intro to the genre. but its not all nightmarish. it has it's funny moments just as often as it's horror moments. it isn't evil. its "happy!lucky!dochi". but it definetly has an evil side. and i love that about it. one minute cute and happy the next blood everywhere!

@coolnaruto56 If you havnt seen it i recomend looking for it online (hell ive linked where you can watch it in the description) but if you are looking for the dvds Amazon has them. Why buy it if youve seen it? Well if companies make money off it, then season two will be dubbed, more episodes will be made, and other shows like higurashi will be made (Umineko for example). If you love a series then buy it and stuff based on it so the series you love will continue to be made!!

The best thing to do is look for the single dvds. Having checked amazon, it appears some DVDs are between 6 and 30 bucks, but those are the mostly used ones. Maybe if you are lucky, you should check ebay and when the first season there.

@tiffany10001 If you don't mind it being preowned you can find it for 70$. The Viridian Boxset new on amazon is 120$ and from what I gather is exactly the same with only things like leaflets missing. Funimation seems to have stopped distrubiting Higurashi boxsets (there website says "this item is no longer available for purchase") which would make most sellers put up there prices.

I hope this is temporary. Its a great series and I havnt got a chance to buy it myself yet!

@Loziemoo89 In the first series, there is 26 episodes. The second series (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai) there is 24 episodes. In the third series (Higurashi...Rei) there is five episodes. Only the first season is dubbed (When They Cry) so if you don't watch japanese dubbed you'll only be able to watch the first series.

It's a great series, and well worth checking out

@Torie176176 well i could go into detail, but i dont wanna spoil it too much for u. technically satoko goes crazy nd forces keiichi off a bridge (ep13). we see more of why "mion" goes crazy in around ep 18 nd rena goes crazy again from ep 22 to the end of the series (my favourite arc) nd we find out exactly what the hell is going on!

The storm, err, anime itself, though... Maybe I'm a wuss, but this is my first horror "anything" and it terrifies the shit out of me. Specifically, arc 5 is the scariest so far, just finished ep 19 in season 1.

Strangely, I didn't get any nightmares so far... I just don't HAVE them, period. But watching one episode can make shiver and shudder for almost an hour.

umineko plot wise has nothin to do with higurashi. i think umineko was a spin off of higurashi. im not too sure on that but theyre both similar in a way. i prefer higurashi if im totally honest but umineko was good too (if it wasnt censored so much)

read the description. It's called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" or "When They(Higurashi) Cry" like the anime. Its performed by Shimamiya Eiko. I think it may have been made specificly for the anime considerin the title and the fact it suits perfectly with the anime, but I'm not 100% sure.
