super mario advance is actually a series of remake from the old consoles to the game boy advance.the first one being super mario bros 2(nes).advance 2 for super mario world(snes).3 for this one,yoshi's island(snes).4 for super mario bros 3(nes).the last one being yoshi's story(n64)

If I recall correctly, in the end of Yoshi Island DS ...a green Yoshi was born, then again the Yoshi in this game did appear in Super Mario 64 (he was WAY bigger than Mario).
