wheat's not that good for you. Vegetables and fruit are better for you but the human brain functions on carbs alone. Thats right it takes a whole pile of people to make the world go around from every part of the world. Nd is cold and there really is'nt a whole alot of opportuinty to make money. the pay is low and our economy is high. 6 bucks for a pack of smokes gas is right around the same price cup of coffee is 2 bucks in a cafe, clothes food are the same rent is less but it's not cheap
why should you have to show more than where you live and proof of identification, it's fine with just that stuff what else would they need your just voting, why are you making such a big deal about it. north dakota is the best state in america!
Is North Dakota even considered part of the United States anymore? With a population of 7 how much impact could they have? Nice folk but they are more of a village than a state.
Like I said, nice people are midwesterners, I have family in Iowa....But you are a little backwoods in nature. North Dakota is not exactly a trend setting state or a big news maker. What are your big contributions to society & why would we miss you outside of your great hot dish and many nice older people.
without north dakota america would have no food, this state produces over 50% of all the grains like wheat barley corn sunflowers and beans to name a few so without north dakota you would fucking starve. and if you don't believe me look it up!
We wouldn't starve we would just consume MORE products from important states. Iowa's hog market, cattle and others would increase and we would eat less grain. Farmers aren't the beginning & end of all life. Without the big city factory worker farmers might starve with no machines to harvest crops. Those grains must be turned into PRODUCTS in factories before they hit the grocery store. It takes everybody, farmers are no more important than the rest of us in the food supply chain.
Anyone else have a problem with the Christian cross inside the room while people are voting? I recognise the important role Christianity -and other religions- have played in America's history, but there really should be a responsibility to have each booth as neutral as possible to any outside influences. If someone is a committed christian, let them vote according to their religion, but overt displays of religion, including religious symbolism, have no place to play in the actual voting process.
no i think people should see it cause christianity is write and u r wrong jesus loves u and it shows people his love while they vote that he loved them enough to die for them so they could be saved
Christianity may be right, i'll leave that up to the individual to decide. I also leave voing up to the individual, and consider voting to be an act that should be free from religion - other than personal, internal belief if the voter so chooses - in a modern, liberal democractic process. Would you find it acceptable to have symbols from other groups in the voting booth? How about, say, a corporate logo? Maybe even political campaign material (your ad here, RNC!). Keep the voting booth clean.
Even accepting that as the truth, which is questionable because of the US precinct system, how do you know that it will be present until after you enter the room?
Truly amazing. There is no reason for registration. North Dakota seems to work just fine. Also, I like how you can have a dozen ballot stations instead of just a few electronic machines. Nothing says democracy like a paper ballot. The entire nation should adopt optical scan ballots that are of a uniform model. They combine the best of everything: quick tabulation, ease of use, and a paper trail.

thanks for unblocking me
My focus is going to be on the midterm elections - I worked on two campaigns (one WIN and one loss)
What do you think about trying to get people to realize the importance of Article One Section Two?
Did you know that 90% of the people can not name their US House Rep?
Don't you agree that it is more important to focus on the 435 in the people in the US House - more than the one person in the White house?
What can we do to turn this perception around?

there are other places to vote if they don't want to vote in a church they don't have to, everyone who voted there chose too.

I'm from Bismarck, ND and I don't remember ever spending more than a half hour to vote. I think time deters most people from wanting to vote.

I'm in WV and voting took me an hour and my fiance about two hours. I'm sure it was worse elsewhere though.

This is ridiculous. They knew turnout was gonna be high as hell.
