You do realise that this has absolutely nothing to do with the James Cameron movie, right?
This Musical is about ACTUAL people who were on board the Titanic, and it focuses on EVERYONE on it, there are no central characters or any "My Heart Will Go On" song in it.
I am going to be in a production of this next year, I'll be playing Fleet, who was lookout (the guy at 0:41)
The show isn't like a flanderization, it actually does have it's deep moments.
I am related to Frederick Fleet the lookout. He was the Grt Grandson of my Grt Grt Grandfathers sister. So do a good job!. He commited suicide in Jan 1965.
@triplethreatlol101 How on Earth is it disrespectful?? Theatre is about portraying a story to an audience, it just so happens this was a very emotional story, which only makes for better theatre. You're obviously one of these people who stereotype musical theatre as about performers prancing about on stage with jazz hands and smiles singing merrily about silly things. Musical theatre can be (and mostly is) powerful, emotion and moving.
@idinafanboi no i definitely am not one of these people you shouldn't make assumptions about people you don't know. it is a beautiful song but i guess i just don't understand it and i never will. these perfomers are awesome but i just don't think it should be titanic. Much love
@triplethreatlol101 Well judging from your comment (which is all I have to go on) you ARE one of those people. Sorry but how do you not understand the song? It's pretty obvious the passengers are admiring the Titanic, about to board it, then bid farewell.
And well, of course everyone's entitled to their opinion but you gave no just explanation why you are against a musical of Titanic. I personally think the Titanic tragedy makes for a perfect piece of theatre.
@idinafanboi well i just don't apprectiate that it's about a tragedy that's all i'm against....i do musical theatre and drama as a hobby and i don't always do the nicest pieces i just find tragedies the hardest to swallow. especially real ones that happened
If that little boy at the end in the gray suit played Edward (the little page boy who is left on the ship), I don't think anything could stop me from crying!
I remember watching this when I got home from school one day. Titanic made me fall in love with musical theatre. I studied theatre in college and now I'm a professional director. This clip changed my life. Thanks for sharing.
@1037pm I agree that the fate of the titanic has gone overboard.just let the people who lost thier lives rest in peace and stop making money off a huge disaster
This sucks balls its so boring...

@uzurimiradi I think he played Jack Thayer. I'm pretty sure that's the only child character in the musical... Not positive though.

Yes but these songs are a mash up of:
"How did They Build Titanic?"
"There She Is"
"I Must Get on That Ship" and
"Godspeed Titanic"
