  • Swervedriver... who would have expected !! I'm going to buy something from you just for this reason alone!

  • So the shoegazer is just a torn's peaker and a sodameiser smashed into one pedal? Does this have the same circuit on the inside as both those pedals and the same sound?

  • Ok, first time listening to Devi's, makes me wonder they get such a bad rap on TGP etc? pretty useable fuzz tones there.

  • @Danthehorse Because the don't have teh "Dumble Toanzzz"

  • Couldn't decide between a Torn's Peaker or a Soda Meiser...then I found out about this, haha. Too bad costs the same as just buying both!

  • Why does nobody sell Devi Ever pedals? I've just discovered them can someone help me find them please?

  • What was the riff at 1:43 ?

  • That was a surprise, hearing something I'm familiar with. Haha

  • Nice Job with the Swervedriver! F-yeah!

  • Swervedriver!

  • RAW POWER!

  • Jesus Christ people, use you own heads and google answers or do some experimentation. Stop demanding to be spoon fed answers. Think Kevin Shields sits on the net asking stupid fucking questions? NO.

  • The muffesque WHAT?

  • @algerista Sodomizer.

  • how is your amp's EQ set up and what amp are you using? Are you using a noise supressor? When I use my Shoegazer pedal I get some feedback, so I was wondering because I don't hear it here.

  • how much does it cost?

  • Uh...... thats SAW-do-mizer not SO-do-mizer

  • second is duel by swervedriver

  • love it!!!! need this and a earthquaker ghost echo for when i go just slightly distorted

  • Mezcal Head. YES.

  • Was anybody else disappointed he didn't set the Soda Meiser side to a Muffy tone, then switch to that on Ball and Biscuit where Jack switches to the Muff? Would've been awesome.

  • smashing total

  • anyone know what the second song he played is? Sounds fucking awesome btw

  • That first tele riff..... my brain melted due to amazingness... what is that? and am i an idiot for not recognising it :P

  • Andy, I'm so glad you played a Ball and Biscuit type thing. I was listening to the pedal, and was totally thinking "Jack White would love this thing."

Did you just roll off the volume pot on your guitar to get it back to that less intense crunch after the Stripes-esque freak out?

  • @tufel7

you mean phaser right? he uses a phaser on starla, frail and bedazzled, et cetera...

  • This the best Devi pedal I've ever heard.

  • melvins riff sounds phat

  • You know I was thinking this or the Godzilla... This one gets a usuable fuzz tone... Although I want an octave option, it seems this will be best..

  • Swervedriver. I fucking love you guys.

  • I do believe I'm sold on this. However, I'm curious as to how it would sound with a flanger behind it a la Billy Corgan. Any insight? thanks!

  • Are those lights designed to looks pixelly?

  • swervedriver riffs sold me.

  • Andy have you ever met Devi Ever?

  • ball and a biscuit = epic win

  • Oh, I get it. SodaMieser. Ha. Ha.

  • What's he playing at 2:50 ?

  • Does the Shoegazer have any issue with clipping when played with a bass? Because I'm absolutely loving the tone from this thing, But I really want to keep my lower end.

I'd appreciate any help I can get, I love this thing's sound, the Sodamizer and TS sound so nice together.

  • @EpsilonKias

hopefully someone answers you soon, been wondering the same thing.

i play bass/guitar, i love the sounds this has but especially the dynamic fuzz feature, would be interesting on bass too i'm sure.

  • My friend has this pedal. It sounds amazing. Both fuzzes on at the same time gives you that super beefy Smashing Pumpkins fuzz tone. So cool. If I didn't like the guy so much that pedal would be gone!

  • This is one hell of a well rounded fuzz box right here. Good stuff!

  • Whoa, opening with some Swervedriver, what better way to demo a shoegazer?

  • Hell yeah! you use a melvins song for a demo!

    Best demo ever, man!

  • How did you do that?

I've got a shoegazer, too, but I cant switch on the Soda Meiser alone.

I'm able to use the Torns Peaker alone or together with the Soda Meiser but when I try to use the SM alone nothing happens.. =(

  • @nibblhansalt You have an old one.

  • @nibblhansalt Roll the tp's volume down.

  • andy our demo guy *o*

  • @chilil57 actually you can find exactly what sonic youth used on google i think but most of sy stuff was because of the tuning they used comined with the high string gagues and adding paper clips and other objects on the guitar its self making things sound very distorted also bands like mbv used lots and lots of pedels live

  • Nice fuzzy White Strips man. Love this pedal.

  • PGS, I need some help deciding which of these fuzzes I should get. I like all of them, but for stuff like nirvana, QOTSA, Beck, and Electric Wizard and Kyuss. Should I get the Shoegazer, the Hyperion, Godzilla, or Rocket? Or the fuzz war from DBA?

  • @MrBlink41SUM - All of these are great fuzz pedals and all will do the job you require. The final decision will have to be yours. Thanks for watching!

    -PGS Crew

  • Hi there! I finally got hands on Deviever Shoegazer and got a question:

I also have a Zvex Fuzzfactory and a Blueboy Deluxe overdrive... Can you suggest me the best "cascade" in terms of connection beetween them?

  • @MrBlink41SUM For electric wizard stuff you should get a good Sunn Amp and a Gibson SG.

  • @ItsA6StringThing thnks for the info. You know how to get a good Kyuss tone? i think he uses a bass amp lol but idk

  • @MrBlink41SUM Role your tone back and use the neck pickup. I use a hughes & Kettner Switchblade on the Marshall style channel with these settings.

    Pres 5

    Treb 6

    Mid 6

    Bass 6

    Gain 7.5-8

With the neck pickup and the tone down it sounds like Kyuss. Bridge pickup with tone open I can get a sort of Iommi-Jus Oborn hybrid sound.

  • @ItsA6StringThing cool thanks.

  • @ItsA6StringThing epiphone.

  • @coughlintm Same thing really.

  • @MrBlink41SUMget 'em all

  • 4:35 Still the best Jack White impression I've heard.

  • Swervedriver!

  • i'd like to get an honest opinion. what's better this or the malekko assmaster germanium?

  • @daniel4311 Which is better? Well. They are both cascading fuzz boxes. Or rather the Germ transistors are stacked in the B:Assmaster (I'm fairly certain). Where you have two individual silcon based fuzz circuits you can run together.

There is no better or worse I'd say. But My pick is the Shoe Gazer I mean... The White Stripes cover done with half the pedal and the volume nob. Easy as pie.

B:Assmaster= Over the top vintage fuzzSplosion

Shoe Gazer= Two over the top modern fuzzcursions

  • do you ship to the UK??

  • @louisalive - Yep, Worldwide.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Awesome, I'm torn between this and the MJM London fuzz, any preference??

  • As a lost and mislead consumer, any help from those at pgs would be great. im looking for a versatile fuzz to play hendrix-y stuff, and maybe get some muff tones. also, i recently joined a really experimental band, so anything with far-out potential would be great, and nothing way thin like a lot of boss pedals. am i making a good choice going with the shoe gazer?

  • @turniton512 - The Shoegazer would be an excellent choice.

  • Ball & Biscuit! Favorite pedal with favorite song?! Favorite demo of ever

  • can you engage each side separately or are they codependent on each other?

  • @ DOOBAGE69 - They are 2 different circuits inside of one pedal, so yes ... each side can be used separately or you can stack them.

  • song at 1:48 ?

  • Duel by Swervedriver

  • @ Zombiekeks - The song is "Duel" by Swervedriver.

  • shoe gazer...addidas stripe...I get it.

  • shoe gazer...addidas stripe...I get it.

  • yet ANOTHER fuzz from Devi Ever... why?! they sound great - most of them - but why so many of basically(but not exactly) the same thing? I just don't get it... *shrug*

  • FREE DEVI FROM HCFX

  • Wonder if Atari will sue them, for both logo ripoff and sound ripoff.

  • Sweet Swervedriver!

  • :0 Ball and Biscuit!

  • white stripes!!!

  • nice, nice

  • looks like the atari symbol

  • beautiful playing Andy

  • ilove the tone at 3:40

  • Melvins - Smiling Cobra!!!

  • Did he say soda mizer, cause I'm pretty sure it's sodomizer..

  • Soda Meiser and Torns Peaker. There's some humor there which I guess isn't clear to everyone!

  • I guess you'll need some TP after the soda meiser then. LOL

  • @baronofbefoulment I thought the joke was 'torn speaker', but yeah, you'll need some TP if you're going for the sodomy.

  • it's soda

  • yaeh

  • And...

  • SWERVEDRIVER! Andy's taste in music rules!

  • ball and the biscuit... nice !

  • ball and biscuit!!!!!!

perfect tone, although Jack White uses single coils =S

  • @Acronso His guitars have humbuckers, however the Airline's have been known to have single coils hiding under a humbucker housing.

  • hey tanks for the information xD whitch humbuckers?

  • that tone blows me away !!!!

  • you guys should really provide a "wishlist" access on your site !! .. too many things that'll never be bought all at once

  • OMG It's swervedriver- duel they're doing :)

  • Swervedriver at 1:42 ?! Awesome.

  • i love swervedriver

  • black keys yeahh

  • Man, you guys should install a "wishlist" on the website, like Amazon has, just so we can keep track of all our favorite pedals! I could then just print that out every Christmas and hand to my wife and family!

  • Great thought!

  • @GreggM1965 Then I could keep track of every pedal that I swear I'll buy one day!!!

  • Becuase of PGS, I own more fuzz boxes than i care to admit

  • best video comment ever.

  • The Bit between 1:48 and 2:36 is among the best sounding I've ever heard from PGS- and I've heard many of them... way too many really :D

  • I hear some Melvins in there...nice

  • Nothing beats the Behringer fuzz pedal :P

I'm usually not too big a fan of fuzz pedals, but I LOVE the sound of this one!

  • Nice... the combination reminds me of Shinei and Superfuzz fuzzes. Can somebody tell me what's the riff between 1:48 and 2:36?

  • search & destroy! :D

  • @namedoesmatter

    raw power buddy..

  • More Devi stuff!!! :d Got 3 pedals of her and all are amazing!

  • Great pedal! Wish I had a tube amp to go with it =)

  • Haha it's funny that he used the TP side for Ball and a Biscuit when the SM side is sort-of a Big Muff sounding circuit and Jack White uses a Big Muff. Amazing pedal and of course Andy can do no wrong.

  • Ball and Biscuit :D

Awesome demo. I've wanted the torns peaker for awhile now, and now I want it even more.

  • Pretty nice...

I'm still Itching to get a DBA Fuzz War however...

  • God I LOVE devi pedals... I have a Legend of Fuzz (which PGS should start carrying), and I just ordered a custom twin pedal from her, and two DIY kits. I am about to get a pedal tonight from PGS of hers... Not sure if I want a TP, SM, or US... After listening to this though I am heavily leaning toward the SM... Check out her forum too, it's pretty killer, and she posts a lot of stuff on there, and answers questions. My custom twin is going to be a DB -> Hyperion. Ball and a Biscuit! Nice...

  • Hate to be picky, but if you're paying real money for a product .. Why does it have a URL on it? That's just as good as putting an advertisement on it.

  • Comment removed

  • It's like the name of the guys making it on the big muff.

  • @ PumpkinPieces33 I found everything you said before you deleted your comment on google. I'm surprised I got 4 thumbs down, seems people like advertisements on products they paid real money for. If I want to know where the Devi Ever website is, I'll use google.

  • There's no denying the advertising factor, but Devi is heavily involved in her website/forum and encourages a great deal of community participation.

It serves as a subtle reminder to swing by and share your experiences when you are done wreaking havoc with your shoegazer.

  • Soda meiser.

    Best effect name ever.

  • I need to find a way to rewire mine to use both circuits independently. The SM sounds like it would really kick ass by itself.

  • Torn's Peaker

    Soda-Mizer

    those are baaaaad jokes

  • :O how much ... id sell mah testicles off for this

  • Effects like this have me torn. They're versatile, for sure, but without a way to go back and forth quickly from tone to tone it's more of a one-trick pony.

I mean, there are some expensive effects which really only do one or two things really well, or are the type of effect you set and forget. With something as tweakable as this it really needs a way to save a hand full of presets.

I'd gladly pay $50 more for something like this if I coudl set some presets.

  • i agree

  • its called your guitar tone and volume knobs learn to use them and digital presets will not be needed to kill your tone

  • This is hardly the place to argue about that - but there's no consistency in rolling down your tone and volume knob, the values are always going to be different. And what about dialing down your high gain sound? You'd just be decreasing the gain etc. instead of turning down (or up) the volume post gain.

  • Ball and Biscuit! Yeah!! Got to say this pedal sounds really good, my favourite from this brand.

  • Question for Andy: Do you check out other people's demos for HOT RIFFS? I just did a video of a Duo Sonic and opened with Ball and Biscuit. Great playing ;)

  • Nice to hear you playing Swervedriver!

  • Damn, someone beat me to the Atari reference :P

  • The Shoe Gazer fascinates me - playing with my Subdecay F-Bomb has turned me on to the world of fuzz. It seems with judicious control of dynamics, one could get a multitude of tones out of it. I think I'd want a good noise gate after it, though.

  • YES! THE DEMO IS FINALLY HERE!

  • splatty, thats what my amp cant do lol

  • I love it :D

  • i've never been a fan of devi ever stuff...the 8bit fuzz that always seems to be present in all their effects just doesn't sound very usable other than noisey breaks.

  • then buy it for the most awesome noisy breaks known to man! :D

  • @simpsons2170 there is an atari sign on the pedal after all

  • thats the gate

  • Andy, what amp are you running through?

  • @TrebleFiend Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue.
