ive caught 5lb+ bass on this rig. i didnt try it for a long time because the presentation seemed really weird to me, but after i gave it a chance it really worked out well. i absolutely love this rigging now!!! i prefer watermelon senko when the water is really clear.
but it wont look like that when casted to the water because the angle of your rod to the water depth you casted to will effect the travel and the bait would look like that except it would be traveling towards you in an angle that if you looked at it in the water is kind of awkward. Ive never caught a fish on this style of fishing but i think its because i think it doesn't work .
you guys HAVE to use a pumkinseed colored senko caught more bass than i EVER caught on live bait (excluding blue gill)they grab it on the drop usually caught 5 bass in about only 2 hours
To avoid the worm getting torn apart, get the wacky o ring tool from cabelas. Ask an assistant and they will help you. It's a ring you put in the center of the worm and you can get ten fish on one worm
i got hypnotized for 3 and a half months after watching this film. spent many days barking like a dog and lifting my leg to pee. Please take it off and warn EVERYONE you know not to see this clip. it wasted three months of my life that i'll never get back . thanks
depends what you are fishingfor, but i find berkly products, such as gulp or powebait work best for me (bass) and i usually use the shaky head method , which works amazingly well
Unfortunately the aquarium doesn't do the action so well. In Ohio, we fish Zoom Finese worms on a 10 or 2/0, and on windy days or deeper structure, use a 1'2 or less roofing nail cut off the end. Insert it in the largest end or in the middle where the hook will be. Use small rubber bands, very small and roll them onto the worm and just run the hook right under the band, not the worm. You say the igger ones get more action. The smaller ones will get you more strikes, and bass size is irrelevant.
@KGarland601 no they are actually pretty durable

If you hook it through the stick bait wont it rip out easy? I feel like you will go through lots of baits.

I always use this type of rig. For some reason the bass attack it and it's great

watch the gospel at work! I have had AMAZING luck on a wacky rigged senko in watermelon and pumpkinseed.

you can also use rib worms for wacky rigging they are just as deadly

For wacky rigging.....use the Wave Worms Tiki Stik 5".....green/green is good for largies.

IMO the best wacky rig hook is a Gamakatsu Finesse Hook 2/0. I also like to rig it weedless

i saw this on fishing with roland martin
gdayskater 3 years ago
id suggest using a smaller hook, i find the bigger hook doesn't give it as much bend, thus taking away from the presentation of the bait..
