This must be the clearest tutorial I have ever seen. Great job!!!
I've just aquired a Rev 2 Vented (not sure about this choice, but I'll run or should I say fly with it!:-). If all your videos are like this I'll be off to a good start.
I just bought a Revo kite, after assembling the kite and lines, (It did not come with a instruction CD). I noticed there are two set of lines. Two of the lines are longer than the other two. I like to know which line should be on top, Long or short? Can someone please enlighten me, thks
@bob9ism : Hi, thanks for the props in your other comment, it's my pleasure. :)
For line length and equally as important, tuning... I strongly suggest you browse the first several topics in the Tuning/Adjustments section of the Revolution discussion forum, please find the link below.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, there is a WEALTH of useful information that will enhance and simplify your Rev experience for years to come. ;)
Great video. With a dual line kite what is the safest way to land it? Won't it try taking off as you walk up to it if you stake it in as you have only two lines (no brake lines).
@TechnexLOL : I'm sure there are a couple of landing tutorials out there for dual lines, but once you've landed, the best way is to stake the handles securely with the kite leaning back about halfway... It's likely to launch if standing fully upright, but if it's leaning back the kite should stay on the ground.
@TechnexLOL Because i have one of the foil kites without any struts. i just land it inverted like he did here.. although it doesn't have brake line the trailing edge is at the top or behind it so it's pushing into the ground.. although i don't know how you do it with one of the triangular kites :)
Again, great video! Your presentation is very easy to understand and the video easy to watch. Thank you so much for making my introduction to quad line kites much easier.
I now look forward to less troubles in my line winding. I see a couple of fundamental errors in my technique now. Thanks heaps. I look forward to future tutorials
taking out a knot takes less time whahahaha

I always figure 8 wrap the lines while keeping each pair separated by my fingers. Wrapping them straight like that always led to problems.

Think nothing of it!
Handling quad lines can be intimidating, but with these techniques, easy 3-5 minutes to set up and 3 minutes to take down, every time. :)

Thanks for the vid John. I found it very informative.
It's just a shame that now i won't get any more tangled lines for Mrs andychapp to sort out now.

I find it a bit scary that I just spent 10 minutes watching a video on winding and unwinding lines.
Still deciding if I should admit I liked it. I'm definately not going to admit I learned something.
Now if I can just avoid hitting Enter by accident no one need ever know.
