@aarrmmeenndd100 The F-35 was designed to carry all its offensive weapons internally (bombs, missiles, rockets, etc.) that's why it looks fatter. By carrying all its weapons inside, theres minimal drag induced by the external pods, makes it go faster..

The F-35 is great. But the F-22 is the most superior jet fighter in the world. The Air Force said they needed more than 360 of them to ensure America's air superiority for the next 30 years. Obama killed the project at 186 (really 126 active bc the Air Force has designated about 50 or so of them for test flights).

Right when Russia and China are kicking up their 5th generation stealth fighter programs we're decreasing ours.

Then your government is making a gargantuan mistake. If air superiority is what you need, then the F-22 should be more than sufficent. The F-35 is just a failed attempt to cram three planes into one.

@twotailedavenger not sure but i think they designed it to carry and drop alot more bombs and missiles than the f-22s and other fighters and is abit more radar invincible than the others , Im hoping that anyways as Canada my country just ordeded quite e few and I hope its no a waste of money , Im thinking it was more of an allied American persuasive desicion deal .

the f22 is a airdefence plain.

the f35 is special for kill thing on the ground and its going to carry the biggest weapons that are out there for plains and those are big and heavy so you'll need a big plain.
