The east coast is going to be extremely fast this year. SJP, Chaminade, Gonzaga, La Salle, Spirit, and Absegami, and im sure some others. It doesnt matter if you combine schools. These guys were fast because they row together. And coaching.
Just goes to show, the east is where fast boats are made...one school one fast shell. not this BS club stuff...otherwise itd be Prep, Bonner, Judge, Lasalle, Roman....I mean we're talking a super 8 here.
We raced them. Scary ass Freshman team. I'm the stroke for Mainland Regional High School. We're nowhere as good as these guys. Their rowing gave me nightmares after nationals. They did a start and 40.
dumbass? really? his comment was st joes prep could have beaten si in 05...which is most likly false and either way newport for hthe fast 2 years would have beaten them both, and im well aware that NAC is a club team and they lost in the first race they did at the henly in 08, so shut up and understand context, and no i dont row for nac or ever have or will i actually hate them and envy ther boathouse and their crazy amounts of money
@mynameshoustin If the northeast teams like Lasalle, St joes Prep, Bonner, Haverford school, ect. came together and made a club, NAC would get demolished. They should feel lucky that we are separated into schools and not a big club.
@bjbjbzz thats likesaying, what if all the teams in seattle joined together, or if marin, pacific, and SI became one club, a lot of hypothetical things could happen, but wont and never will, understand that because your dreaming
@mynameshoustin They are already clubs. Im talking about what the west already does, combine high schools. Prep kept up with the best that year, and they were limited to their one high school. If we ran like the west, there would be 4 other school guys competing for that boat. And your right, we will never do that, but it shows the caliber the northeast has without a large recruiting area.
@bjbjbzz SI is a high school... if SI, Serra, St Francis (Supplies Norcal RC), and Bellarmine (Supplies Los Gatos RC) were to form a WCAL club (similar to your hypothetical one you posted earlier) it would win every single year without a doubt. There's a reason that the west has had the national champion mens 8+ for 6 out of the last 7 years. And Marin is going to restore the west coast dominance.
@RsRangingown Not sure about that. I think if that were to happen, there would be extremely fast races and the winner would change year to year. That's an extraordinarily amount of talent in each fictional club. It's fun to think about.

They were a club not a school. That's why Newport got knocked out on Wednesday at Henley, DUMBASS.
