Yes, they are easily purchased today. When I found a source after I had spent well over two weeks of searching, I did a 'happy dance'!
If I remember right, that fuse site stocks them. It'd probably take just one Google search to find them now.

you have to hold them very still or the ball of molten metal drops off and then they don't sparkle. I suggest you tape them to something and just light the big balled end (this is what builds the ball of metal for you) then just watch them go.

Pryo direct sells them for cheap. But they are hard to light. I haven't figured it out yet.

you are right they are hard to find here. i was able to find some this year. just got them today and tried a few out. pretty neat looking
