i don't think sambo is a good match-up for capoeira since it's strength lies in grapling and the odd movement of capoeira would make it too wierd and unpredictible especially for an art in wich normal attacks are used against the oponent. how ever i do thing sambo is a good match up against muay thai while capoeira isn't
This is MMA, most of it is Muay Thai in this video, but Scott also uses techniques from Karate and Tae Kwon Do, so it is mixed martial arts.It is different to the combat sambo kicks.
It looked more like muy thai than sambo in my opinion but I am no expert on this so a great fight, the capoeira was really awesome! :)

Scott Adkins is a master of Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga and as we can see hes a pro acrobat. No sambo at all, and Lateef is just capoiera.
