  • Canoodlians get a little snow in their national vagina and they throw a hissy fit that will embarrass canoodlians for 10 generations. Gone are the brave Canadians that fought in WWI, WWII, Korea and volunteered to fight in the US military in Vietnam. Today canoodlia is populated by morons that urinate on their national war memorial and then complain about a few lame jokes from a late night satirical news show on a network they claim they never watch.

    Canoodlians are cowards.

  • omg amazing . . .

finally SOMEONE who will reveal what actually happened that day . ..

i.e. people made a good point/ legitimate joke and canadians freaked THE FUCK OUT because they have NO SENSE OF HUMOR.

its really sad and pathetic actually kind of like the kid at school who gets teased then runs to the teacher . . .

    how embarassing!!

  • canadians = have no humor

    proof = south park reactions/this

i just cant stop laughing when i watch these (and ive seen them several times since it happened)

  • I think we can reserve the right to be a little bitchy, a little humorless a little stuck up when it comes to a jackass on tv taking a swipe at us. Ofcourse, this show doesnt represent Americans, like our overreacting news programs dont represent me. Did I take offence to the comments, yes. Just like you took offence to the attention they got, and the comments that immature jackass Canuck teens have said on here.

  • I really don't think you "get" the humor. If you watch the whole unedited thing you might understand that these humorists and commetators are probably MORE supportive of Canadian (and other countries') military service members than the average person. The point is not to bash troops (I thought that would be obvious), but rather to mock the perceived relatively effete nature of Canadian culture more generally.

  • Yes, it's done in a politically incorrect way, but that's just the norm for this light-hearted late night cable comedy show, apparently. If only Canadians would show the same outrage when it comes to fundamentalist Islamic terrorists as they do with a few politically incorrect humorists south of the border.

  • Im sorry how are Canadians not outraged by fundamentalist Islamic terrorists?

  • Well, I hope that Canadians are outraged. I seem to hear more US bashing than anything else. Tom Green swears and gets so worked up and curses some little comedy show, the national news media treats the incident like a major affront, etc. Where are the displays of outrage directed towards our shared enemy? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but it seems to be lacking.

  • Well look at what has happened recently, we didn't allow British MP George Galloway into the country to speak due to the message he conveys and who he supports publicly. Trust me, we are more liberal then you but we still have the same mindset.

  • The thing that I find most outrageous is how this news report opens with scenes of a funeral service, then shamefully suggests that some Americans don't take these deaths seriously. This is an inexcusable mischaracterization. Also, throughout this "news" piece there are several gratuitous shots taken at a competing (and more influential) news netowrk. Seems a bit petty and unprofessional.

  • I can agree with that. But thats what the media is now adays, Its manipulative, its turned into Entertainment.

  • This Canadian news report is not objective (or even honest) journalism. Now I see why some Canadian networks have the reputation for being so slanted (often to the left, against the US, etc.) and for not being ashamed to engage in distortion. This is supposed to be hard news, yet the reporters seem to be enjoying taking shots at a competing network and also seem to think it's their job to return insults back to the US while complaining of being insulted by some comedians. It's pathetic.

  • Sndblstr, your video seems to have been hijacked by Anti Canadian Americans and Anti American Canadians. I can see your point, its satirical, meant to poke fun, though really, as an American, how can you understand the state of mind of Canadians when it comes to Afghanistan? While Americans shifted priorities to Iraq, undermanned Americans, Canadians, Brits and other Nato forces were left holding their dicks against a recuperating insurgency. Our role escalated, our casualty rate skyrocketed.

  • I was with you until you started blaming the US for increased numbers of casualties. Your anger is misdirected.

  • It wasnt my intention to say it was the US who caused the casualities, obviously that blame lies on the hands of the insurgency, Im merely saying forces were thinned which made all troops more vulnerable. Unless your French or German sunbathing in Kabul. Canada voluntarily escalated their role, just as Al Qaeda and the Taliban escalated their offensives.

  • As for the flags on the backpack issue, I'm sure hearing stories like that makes Canadians feel good, as it reinforces the things they want to believe. As a proud American, I can tell you that I would never think of hiding my national origin when traveling overseas. I suspect most Americans feel similarly. That's not to say there aren't some annoying wimps who think it's fashionable to project politically correct displays of guilt.

  • At the end of the segment a guest named Jonathan Hoenig makes a good point regarding what we should really be outraged about: out-of-control political correctness and the hamstringing of our troops.

  • If you've seen the full clip from this particular episode, then you would know that the host and another guest, in a rare moment of seriousness, express sincere appreciation for all men and women serving overseas, regardless of national origin. Do you honestly believe for a second that any patriotic American does not respect the service of troops from allied nations? Come on now. This is just a silly, low budget comedy show meant to amuse in a somewhat adolescent and unpretentious way.

  • I hear what you're saying. I just think you're taking this show segment a bit too seriously. If this attempt at comedy were some actual out-of-bounds or viscious attack, then I would join you in condemning it. But it's clearly not that. The worst you can say is that it isn't funny, depending on your taste. I haven't seen the show all that much, but, from the clips I have seen, it appears the host spends more time making fun of himself than he does other people.

  • These canadians think this show is a typical Fox News show- right wing politics. It is not. I actually feel it doesnt fit on Fox and I have wondered why they have it on the channel. It's funny sometimes though. I think Canadians are just too melow to get the snarky sarcastic humor. This whole thing is like an Onion news story.

  • Dude, the title says it all. I was looking for a way to communicate it clearly and succinctly. You did it.

  • By comments I mean "Annotations".

  • LOL the comments on this video is funny. Much funnier than Red Eye. I think Fox News would/should hire you!

  • I just want to make it clear that I don't dislike Canadians generally! Also, while I find the Red Eye comedy show segment to be somewhat humorous, I can recognize that the comments about Canada are a bit obnoxious. However, many Canadians' overreaction to and mischaracterization of the satire is what I find most troubling.

  • Many Canadian commenters have responded to the harmless Fox comedy show by hypocritically hurling stereotypical insults at the United States, and have claimed that the show jokes about people killed in war. No one, least of all Americans, would ever want to make light of those who died in war. That should just going without saying.

  • The real reason, it seems to me, that many Canadians are upset about the satire is that the show used mocking condescension towards Canada. Is this unbecoming and even a bit arrogant? Of course, but a better response to it would be through wit and humor. Otherwise you're just feeding into the desire to diss thin-skinned Canadians to provoke a reaction.

  • sndblstr, you are a stupid little cunt.

go fukin kill yurself yu little right wing bitch.

  • Yeah, I agree that it's disappointing to see a lot of these comments from hypocritical and uneducated Canadians.

  • Fuck you pussies go and fight and stop talking about those that do, we allow you all to live your fat pathedic lives and eat your fried chicken.

Invade us you drunk, every stupid yankee tries to come to Canada except they are all criminals so we keep them out while we allow those from other countries in. For all you hicks in the USA reading this and have been refused into Canada, you know what I mean....stay home dummies we don't want you.

  • how bout i kill you then joke about it

  • I agree Totally. Fox news apologised for its remarks and meant no disrespect for Canada's fallen.. Most Canadians do not wish to be American nor do we ever want to be. We are pleased just enough to call you a nieghbor and leave it at that.

    And Thank You for sharing..

  • You're hopeless if you think anyone seeks to mock war's casualties... or maybe just dishonest in suggesting that's the case. Canada is in the United States' shadow in nearly all ways, & Canadians know it but hate being reminded of it. When teased, some Canadians get so worked up & feel the need to try to define themselves in terms of how they think they're different from the US. I hope Canadians are proud of their country, & I also hope they learn to take a joke or at least respond w/ humor.

  • People, this is getting ridiculous. Americans (US) don't hate Canada! Are you guys insane? No one (especially not Americans) would ever think of showing disrespect to those who sacrificed in war. The strange outrage over the little comedy show's light ribbing of Canada reveals what overly sensitive and insecure little weenies some people are north of the border.

  • Pathetic comments from pathetic people.

  • Haha, so now the comedy show racist?? There was no mention of race in any of the comedy show's gentle ribbing directed at Canada. I've already forgotten what was said that was so vile and mean spirited... oh, yeah... nothing! The only vile comments I see are those in these comments written by disgruntled Canadians.

  • Shut the fuck up Yankee fag

  • What a fine representative of Canada you are.

  • I hope your whole family gets cancer and dies sndblstr.

  • Your a sick mother fucker, I hope You choke on Your own vomit You waste of skin.

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • Your a moron!!!! enough said

  • It's hilarious how easily and reliably offendable so many Canadians are. Lighten up, people! Do you know how ridiculous some of you Canadians sound?

  • There is no humor is listening to someone poke fun at your military while you watch news highlights of 4 Canadian troops killed in combat. Dont get me wrong, we can laugh about yourselves as much as you can but your timing?.. Completely off.

  • The comedy show aired before news of the canadian troops' deaths. And, no, it seems that many Canadians cannot take a joke... especially when the joke is coming from Americans, many of whom tend to view Canada, rightly or wrongly, as somewhat irrelevant. Anyone remember the uproar over the song "Blame Canada" from the South Park movie a few years back? Same situation there.

  • The Canadian media seems to love to report on commentary that may have hurt feelings, as if Canada were a nation of babies.

  • you know what buddy, fuck you, FUCK YOU, FUUUUUUCKKKKKK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!! ok motherfucker, fuck you, you call this fucking bullshit comedy, don't fucking bullshit yourself alright dick fucker...

  • Thank you for your valuable input.

  • bleh you got all us canadians worked up you better watch your back man we might just come over there and do something...im not sure what we would do...it would probley be something bad but still you better watch it XD

  • i agree with you to a point, but when you say that canadians envy americans you sound like a moron. who the fuck wants to be an american? maybe if you live in nebraska, but not if you live in a different part of the world

  • Actually, many people want to be Americans. Look at the number of people wanting to immigrate to the United States. If you were honest you would admit that many Canadians have a bit of an inferiority complex. I think that's why this harmless comedy tv show touched such a nerve... it would be like if the Japanese started putting down the American car industry, for example.

  • It would make the jab that much harder to take because Americans generally hold Japanese society high regard and because Americans know that Japanese cars are generally superior to American cars. However, Canada is generally viewed as irrelevant and not much of a threat (don't take it personally!!), so jabs coming from north of the border can easily be shrugged off.

  • People don't "immigrate" to another country, but become immigrants, if successful. People "emigrate" to another country.

  • this is harmless comedy and many, many canadians have an inferiority complex. i've been shitting on them for years. and many canadians do want to live in the states, just like many americans want to live in canada. but again, to say that canadians want to be american is way off. it's the same as saying that americans hold the same views that these fucktards on fox news do

  • Agreed. I never said that most Canadians wanted to move to the United States. I'm sure most Canadians are happy where they are & proud of their country. I just watched the comedy show clip again, & it's just so obvious to me that there is no real dislike for Canadians on display . It's just light-hearted silliness. Also, it's ironic that many Canadian commenters are saying vile, stereotypical things about the US while they condemn similar but far less vicious actions by a comedy show.

  • i agree as well. it's embarrassing how concerned some canadians are about supposed US ignorance. back when this hour has 22 minutes' rick mercer went to the US and made americans look retarded, canadians loved it. People just can't understand why americans don't know us like we know them. Fact is, we watch american tv, americans don't watch canadian tv. i knew more about Detroit and Bangor news then Canadian news growing up because of tv

  • You are a complete waist of the air we breath, did you even watch the clip? you must be one sick s.o.b to call us crybabies, people like you is what is wrong with the world today.

    Samson Kane

  • Thank you for your response to the video clip. You represent Canada well.
