HAHAHA! I still have this game! I heard it's rare too. I also got Virtual On, Die Hard Arcade, Panzer Dragoon, both Virtua Fighters, Nights with the nights controller! Even though Sega made a shit load of mistakes, they still put out some good games. This was most definitely one of them!

It was a rare situation where i felt as if i had actually failed the game, and the storyline itself, because I had lost at the pinnacle battle under the control of Leida in the attempt to save Astal.
Needless to say, I grew up, but its amazing to know that someone else acknowledges this game ever existed.
I pulled out the saturn a while ago and popped this game in. it had badass music, and sweet gameplay and still alright graphics for the time, but this STORY.. FUCKING.. SUCKS..

then at the end: Leida was free, but the Ocean was ruined. AW FUCK! NO WATER? EVER?

Probably one of the best games I played growing up, while I never owned it I played it countless times, it had such a good story and animation. Some of the best fantasy elements as well, a gem of a game.
Gerado sucks as a villain, the first time thing I saw from a clip was his eyes while creating Gheist than I thought he would look like Ganondorf of Zelda Ocarina of Time or something more villain, hard to believe this piggy stupid monster is the main villain, it sucks for such a beautiful game with great songs.
Astal didn't get succes because of the SEGA 32X and SEGA CD (Useless)and the price of Saturn (400$) and SEGA didn't asist at the 3D graphism generation. It's Too Bad. I Love the Musics and the 2D graphism are beautiful, but if it was in 3D graphism this game could have work.
Please more videos, in special the other intro (let me try again), Sea of clouds, Destiny unfolds, Fight for the Future, and the End. I beg you DigiHatesMakingNames.
I remember seeing Astal Cameos in the Sonic the Hedgehog Comics.

Get a Saturn & the game on Ebay, it's not that expensive.
Best 2D visuals of the 32 bit generation.
Solid game play as well.
YouTube can't do this game justice.
It has to be experienced.

The BGM music for round 2 is one of the best songs I have ever heard in a video game. Since I have a Saturn and this game I'll have to capture it :)
