@Bbswaqq2 LIke I mentioned in the beginning of the video, it is possible that your phone won't change and instead will just reset. It all depends on the type of model.
@SuperPacman87channel No I do not have a data plan, and verizon doesn't add any charges. When you do this reset, it keeps the same exact connection you had with verizon as you had before you reset.

@boovish No you don't need a data plan but that's mostly because the actual Kin Loop and social networking/cloud backup service are gone. This won't let you connect to it because it's been taken down by Microsoft. Idk if this will work on the Kin Onem. Sorry.
@tribal673 Ah yeah Johnkussack had that issue too on one of his Kins. This probably wouldn't solve that issue unfortunately. Best idea is to check out the xda developer forums and search "Kin Two", as if theirs every a solution for that, you'd probably find it their. Also, you could try bringing it to Verizon and see if they have any solutions.
@Markus019 Yes you lose all the data that was on your phone when you do this. Contacts, photos, texts, everything. So if you want to back up, do so. Just remember that the Loop and social networking features are not working, so it's more of a downgraded OS vs the one you already have running (Kin Twom OS)
@supercarrotgirls not that I know of. I mean if you keep it in the original OS, then obviously they would notice if you brought it to them, but other than that, they shouldn't be able to tell.
@animallover851 Can't use the loop. The service that pinged the phones with the social networking data is gone forever, so the loop is a broken feature. The calculator and calendar aren't in the old Os, so no theirs none of that, I think theirs an alarm clock though.

Biggest question ... when you do it to the original state the OS version it's going to charge you the data plan on verizon right and will it be connected to verizon as ur phone
@asrlf0822 yes its automatically connected to Verizon Wireless. It connects to the same activation you had on the Kin Twom OS. As for data charging, I'm not sure. You can ask around on Xda-developer forums if you want.
@vicpim74 Yes there is a post in the xda developer forums on which type of phone will work. No facebook will not work with the Kin Loop because Kin Studio was taken down awhile ago by Microsoft, thus ending any transmission for the Kin Loop.

@TheAlabama98 If it didn't convert back, it means you have a newer model Kin Twom and it doesn't have the Original Os on there in the first place. If you followed all the instructions and it just reset into the Kin Twom software, that's the reason.
With the old OS, does it list the web site that the (loop)kin studio connected to? can we create or use another cloud like server to get that loop up and running? Hell, maybe even stay with MS and use the skydrive? I definaltey have the model that can revert back so I would love to pursue a possible working loop. :)
@hooptydunkty the Loop doesn't work because the Kin Studio (the cloud based servers that ran the Loop way back then) are off forever. The spot however, does work (like I showed in my video)
To transfer contacts go to your local verizon store with the kin and your older phone they will transfer the contacts data and maybe pictures to the kin. The zune software connects your phone to the computer but is difficult to get it to sync, I'll get back to you on that

Second, if you've read what I said in the comments as well as annotations and my video description, this doesn't work for all models. @Kadawg4 I believe this means you have a new Kin Twom. Its a bit confusing but what happened is that when the Original Kin 2 was retired and the Kin Twom was released, a lot of left over Kin two originals were sold off with the Kin Twom OS on it. But in the bottom of the Kin Twom's, the Original Os still lurks. Because of this, some Kin Twom's can revert back to the Original Kin OS. However, newer devices that never had the Original OS on it can't revert because the OS isn't on it.
@Kadawg4 Also, look at the link in the video description and find a forum post called "Kin (Two) Hotkeys". By the 2nd to 3rd page, there's some discussion about what version of the Kin 2m can revert and which can't. There's also a link to a forum post that discusses (with pictures) the whole "New Kin twom and Old Kin Twom" on the 3rd page.

Most people won't want to lose everything and the old os isn't really worth it. I agree. @codymws I personally haven't tried messing with any of the Kin Studio features or anything like that. Yes it does activate on Verzion's network without any issues. Kin studio doesn't exist so you basically can't connect or use any features related to the Kin Studio. The Loop is connected through Studio so it doesn't work. I have no idea if anything is eating at my data when I'm activated on the old kin software so I just put it in Airplane mode when I'm using it.
@Caaaaaaaaaaaaaseyy Yes. All you need to do is go to your phone app and type in the number "##77647266488" and the program code is "000000". I wouldn't try messing around with too much there as you could end up with a messed up phone if you don't know what your doing.
@l3estSh0tz Like I mentioned, go to the Kin 2 xda-developers page for more detailed info on how to do this. You might end up just doing that. It depends on which model of the Kin 2m you have. However, I will put up some warning now that you've mentioned this.

@Caaaaaaaaaaaaaseyy Yes. All you need to do is go to your phone app and type in the number "##77647266488" and the program code is "000000". I wouldn't try messing around with too much there as you could end up with a messed up phone if you don't know what your doing.

Just tryed this with my Kin twom and all it did was reset it to the normal Kintwom software. I now have to reset everything

@l3estSh0tz Like I mentioned, go to the Kin 2 xda-developers page for more detailed info on how to do this. You might end up just doing that. It depends on which model of the Kin 2m you have. However, I will put up some warning now that you've mentioned this.
