I am one Malaysian Chinese. First of all, Chinese has help a lot in developing Malaysia‘cities like Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Pulau Pinang and Kuching. Especially Yap Ah Loy who sucessfully turn Kuala Lumpur from a mine into a big city. If you visit Malaysia nowadays you can still see most of the shop are owned by Chinese.

They form a special cultural named Baba and Nyonya by marrying the locals, means they have a culture of mix Chinese and Malay.
