Hi Caroline, My wife has athetoid C.P. She's 35, just a little older than you. I love her very much. I would care for her without the IHHS which keeps getting cut by California law. She has a degree in Computer Science, but no one will hire her due to her slow typing skills. She's writing an autobiography, via a ghost writer. I'll make sure you get a copy! Daniel & Nicole
I am part of a college inclusion program for individuals with disabilities that help students become independant at western carolina university. The government is also trying to cut funding for our program, we recently made a trip to DC to talk to some representatives about this issue. Keep fighting for your beautiful sister. You are not fighting alone.
Do you think that Mr Obama is going to improve the condition and potential ofr better treatment and access to community, with the Healthcare reforms he and his government have tried and passed at congress?
Do you think there is a genuine lack of healthcare professional or in management of those healthcare professional resources?
hey caroline i have the same dream as you i;m from phonix arizona and i;m from phonix arizona and my name is luis but they call me luigi for short i;mn specal needs too kubuki syendruem
The problem is nationwide - In Colorado, we have over 9,000 on the wait list - 1,550 in our region alone (Pikes Peak region). We are 6th in the nation for income; 46th in the nation for supporting people with these services. Developmental disabilities have dropped off the radar screen of the social conscience - thank you for doing something to bring it back!
Great video-sad commentary on the state of MD in supporting people with developmental disabilities. Let's hope MD's policymakers and the Gov. WAKE up and DO SOMETHING!!!!
Wonderful video--wonderful girls, both of them! This a real issue that so many families are dealing with. I hope Caitlin and Caroline's dreams all come true.
I live in MD!

I am a Bayada nurse, and the little girl reminds me of one of our clients.
