02-04 type s are slow with out any bolt on's. 05-06 come with k-pro, so they are a lot quicker stock. I drive a 94 gsr with bolt on's running CTR cams and like 248,000 miles on that motor. I've ran all three of these cars and have been able to hold them off. I know my car is not fast, but dang, I was not impressed. Stock Mustang GT from 2009 and down, equals fail. Slow as V8's
@kojibleegtus none come with kpro. and its still a drivers race with an 02-04 vs 05-06. stock, they all still dyno about 177-180whp on the dynojet ive seen them on. the 05-06 will have a lower top speed than the 02-04 due to its 4.7 FD where the 02-04 has a 4.3 FD. it should accelerate quicker than the 02-04, but not by much. also, its not as much of a hassle to swap an 02-04 in an older civic, and the head flow is so close, but the 02-04 has a better head flow.

I have a 2000 mustang GT manual and it weighs 3,237 lbs without driver. i took my spare tire and jack out so its around 3,200 ... which isnt that heavy
@joescivic yeah a decent amount of bolt ons though which cost a good chunk of change. It only takes $350 dollars to get a ss/sc into the 255-260whp range. I like hondas and the k20 motor but the fact that they didnt come boosted from factory means its gunna cost a good chunk of change to make good power
@atcomx26 any car that comes boasted will be cheaper to gain power. the difference between honda and cobalt is all motor or boost. both car is cheap to gain power.

@MaddDogg81 the rsx beat the mustang by a car later with each driver being by themselves. He still never beat my ss with just an intake. You have to realize cobalts were rated at 205bhp but were underrated. almost every dynoed stock lsj cobalt put down 215whp-220whp. Just an intake helps mucho on a blower car. I think he was making close to 205whp. The acura is cool... but without forced induction there is no such thing as torque for them

Mustang has a better power to weight even tho its heavier bc its got more power just bc a car is lighter doesnt mean it has a better power to weight... Stock for stock a GT is faster then a type-S and power to weight isnt everything there are alot more factors than just that lol
@futur3516 but its also close to 600lbs more. With 2 people in the rsx and 1 in the mustang the stang one with two people in the mustang and 1 in the rsx it was close but the mustang missed 3rd

a bolt-on RSX can have 220-230whp, it may not have the torque like the cobalt, but ive seen plenty bolt-on RSX-S and Si beat cobalt SS/SC's.
