  • As a fresh graduate with no past experiences, how do I answer such a question? I always get flustered, and end up just stating my name, my concentration, GPA, and where my internship was. And that's it, cause I don't know what to say. So what should the answer really be like?

  • @YukiChan31 same place man

  • I was always on call with my other job which was my stay at home job as a mom to an autistic child and my younger son. The manager told me to pick up my confidence level before the interview and that she wants me to be able to handle myself under pressure ...How can I do this interview to make it a successful interview ? This is a continuation to my other post under this one ....

  • @millievip relate your past skills to the requirements for this job.

  • Hello Mr DGeorgevich I " might " be called for a job interview for Family Dollar next week. Even though the manager said she was going to see what she can do for me to get me in I am still nervous. I've never worked . The few jobs I've had were off the book jobs and they never lasted more than four weeks for the exception of my volunteer jobs and my home job. I did office work kinda jobs like sending emails with generic messages answering phones., filing that sort a thing .

  • Great advice. I never thought about how this question could really set the tone for the interview and there is a right way and wrong way to answer. Thank you!

  • Don, quick advice... put your prompter little bit lower. Just little over cameras lens. Now it looks like you are have some issues with your eyes ha ha

  • that's funny

  • @DGeorgevich I am part-time out of state college student who has broad availability. I have held two jobs in my life. 1 I voluntarily left because I got offered another job with more hours 2nd left that one because I moved to Portland. All together I have a year's worth of relevant job experience. Besides articulate rhetoric when interviewed and a well composed resume, what should I DO? offer employers free work for a little bit, go well dressed to even the most menial jobs? Advice appreciated.

  • @Loltochapel what do you mean "what should you do?" What's the problem? You're a student with broad availability -- do what you want to do :-)

  • @DGeorgevich Sorry for not being more specific but I meant what should I do in order to get even the most menial jobs to consider hiring me such as working at a cafe or an ice cream parlour. Even if I was seeking an office job I do not have the proper credentials to do so yet.I would like to volunteer later on to gentrify my resume ,but I just need anything to help me pay some bills right now. If there are no open interviews I will not get called..

  • @Loltochapel anyone can get a job in an ice cream parlour -- don't be so hard on yourself. there are hundreds of thousands of these jobs; everywhere. Taco Bell and McDonalds are always hiring. I've known many people to start at Taco Bell and within 6 months they make Assistant Manger. Another year later, they are Manager. after 5 years they are district Manger. you just have to start looking.

  • This was very helpful! thank you sir!

  • how to i reduce nervs??????????? helpp!!!!!!!!1

  • @thegreeneyes01 Read The Complete Interview Answer Guide. It will show you how to answer the toughest interview questions. It will help you improve your interview confidence and maintain control throughout the interview. After reading this guide, you’ll be more comfortable and confident and able to sit back and give your best interview performance without being nervous.

  • @thegreeneyes01 prepare for the interview and smoke a little weed. youll feel completely relaxed

  • @thegreeneyes01 This was a question I had for a long time as well. Every interview I had or engaged in left me speechless due to my nerves. I noticed that the more I presented in from of groups (family, friends, school) helped quite a bit. Another way is to maybe join or take a debate group, this was my most positive learning experience I came across. It helped me engage in a conversation more fluently and precise. Naturally my nerves started to dismiss itself afterwards. Hope this helps!

  • @Johannson6990 Thanks..it was alot of help..=D

  • It's funny that he said "don't talk about your past sales accomplishment when your job interview is for fixing computers". I had an interview for computer technician and I spoke about my sales experience. FML

  • Thank you for the tips and advices :)

  • don't tell them all your accomplishments :-) save some for talking about later. that's the problem many job seekers have, they feel the need to dump on interviewers with every bit of knowledge they have without saving some for later conversation.

  • Good video Dan, I wondering if I tell the interviewers my accomplishment when they asked to tell me about myself , and after that question they asked me about my accomplishments then wouldn't I be repeating the same answer?

  • i have an interview at macys tomorrow(11~11~10), and it occurred to me that there might be tutorials on interviews online. thank you for your services. by the way, i am a BROWNS fan. Hillis is a beast.

  • generally not.

  • do i get 2 takes in an interview!?

  • This guys is reading while he talks

  • @Maloperverso Duly noted! But still a good video.

  • @Maloperverso who cares the information is what the people with no jobs need to know!

  • @Maloperverso so unprofessional right?

  • Thanks :)
