@plasterdbastard The kronwall hit was a penalty for interference, and since it caused an injury they felt it was unneeded and a major. Any major going with an injury is an automatic ejection. Torres hit on seabrook was a head shot and the only reason for no suspension was cause it would hurt the ratings for the NHL.
Actually, the big misconception in the league at the moment is that any contact to the head is illegal, when it's only East West hits that target the head as the principal point of contact that are illegal.

Actually, you didn't watch that video, and you're obviously speaking from a Hawks fan perspective. Torres didn't "come from behind" the entire body was engaged, and it was a North-South hit.
The video specifically prescribes that no offense occurs under Rule 48 for a North-South hit, as only East-West (blindside) hits that specifically target the head fall under the Rule.
Raffi Torres' hit on Jordan Eberle (my cousin by marriage) WAS a violation under Rule 48.

I wasn't watching Montreal during the playoffs except when they versed Pittsburgh and I heard from people from Sportsnet saying that Byfuglien had the same amount of goals as Cammalleri at the end of the playoffs, so ya whatever. And if I saw Cammalleri, I WOULD go to him and tell him that his sucker punch on Havlat and slash on Niederreiter was chicken shit, then I would suggest that he should fight the player(s) that get him mad.

If he fought them, then it's a totally different story. @plasterdbastard The kronwall hit was a penalty for interference, and since it caused an injury they felt it was unneeded and a major. Any major going with an injury is an automatic ejection. Torres hit on seabrook was a head shot and the only reason for no suspension was cause it would hurt the ratings for the NHL.

Actually, you didn't watch that video, and you're obviously speaking from a Hawks fan perspective. Torres didn't "come from behind" the entire body was engaged, and it was a North-South hit.
The video specifically prescribes that no offense occurs under Rule 48 for a North-South hit, as only East-West (blindside) hits that specifically target the head fall under the Rule.
Raffi Torres' hit on Jordan Eberle (my cousin by marriage) WAS a violation under Rule 48.

"an East-West hit from the side opposite to the target's viewpoint".
Puck possession is never discussed in Rule #48. Not once.
Torres hit him when he was exposed. This is a fundamental aspect of hockey - a physical sport.

I checked and whatever. I wasn't watching Montreal during the playoffs except when they versed Pittsburgh and I heard from people from Sportsnet saying that Byfuglien had the same amount of goals as Cammalleri at the end of the playoffs, so ya whatever. I was wrong, you were right. This is why I like Mike Cammalleri. Yeah he's a dick sometimes, but he's got balls about it. He doesn't do any pussy diving, he doesn't attempt to stomp your leg with his skate when the ref isn't looking, he doesn't bite your ear during fights. He's just a no-nonsense tough guy, who might sucker punch you, but does it in clear fucking view of everyone on the ice. Oh, and he's a great goal scorer too.
